Very easy check-in process at the self help kiosks. About a 15 minute walk to the train station. Loved how close it was to nature trails and convenient shopping plaza across the street. Room was comfortable.

Great spa facilities and good for public transport into city. Noisy for one evening with D.J in bar playing until midnight. Rooms not soundproof at all!

Hotel has everything you need on site and there is a retail park with a McDonald’s opposite as well. Free parking on weekends, excellent breakfast which we booked in advance. Pool and spa facilities are good. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Would stay again.

Generally very good - had a nice feel to it, and staff were excellent. Would be happy to stay there again. Main reason for only 4 stars was the lack of air con in the room - don't expect that in a 'proper' hotel. Just a radiator with a simple thermostat on the wall, and opening windows (which you don't always get with air con). Wasn't a big problem given it was winter, although room was too hot when we arrived - thermostat had been set to over 25. Other minor issue was breakfast - not bad, but cereals were basic with no fruit options (or porridge, unless I missed it), and the only egg choice was scrambled that had been sitting there for a while. And weirdly massive mushrooms - one would have been way too much for me; a few normal size ones would have been nice. Only stayed one night, didn't use the gym/pool/etc.

Pleasant stay.
My stay was average rating. On arrival tea cups were dirty which put me off a lot. Radiator had dirty marks overall i thought the room could do with a freshen up. Reception staff were helpful and friendly especially girl on Sunday Morning .

Slow service
Always stay here with work rooms are really comfy. Parking is included with the cost of a club room otherwise it costs extra so one way or another you pay for it so yes parking available but payable. Service was shockingly slow at the bar - lost count of how many people that were served before me and arrived after me; one chap was served twice while I was waiting.

Disappointing
We stayed here during freshers week in September. For the amount we paid it was not worth it. We did not enjoy our stay at this hotel. The overall feel of the hotel was more like a pub than a hotel. It was very noisy and busy. There was confusion over whether we had to pay for parking. Our bedroom was dirty, I did not like to use the bathroom as it looked like it had had a quick wipe over instead of a proper clean. The decor was also very outdated, with horrid stripy walls behind the bed, definitely not relaxing. The only reason we stayed the night was because we had no choice.

The facilities were clean and the room quiet. Good hot water for the bath. Although it is basically in an atmosphere-free out of town shopping centre, the nicest thing about this hotel was it's proximity to Attenborough Nature Reserve. The decor was very tired, with paint rubbed off the bathroom doors and stains on the carpet. No drinking glasses in the room. The place was a maze, with a very long walk to our room up and down stairs. There was a long queue for the reception because many rooms were not yet ready at 3.30 pm and lots of people were unhappy. We happened to be lucky and got to our early dinner appointment in time.

Arrival in dark not well lit or adequately signed for disabled guests. No offer of help from reception to disabled guests. Other staff excellent. Position of reception “cube” in noisy foyer made it seem aloof to guests. Lack of written information about room number led to me forgetting room number by the time I arrived to room initially. Had to write it down myself for later returns to room. However the helpfulness of random other staff the great condition of room facility made it all worthwhile

Hotel is lovely, clean and pleasant. Pool is big and all areas were clean (changing/pool etc) staff were always around to help. Only thing negative was probably the pillows were neck breaking because they were too big together but too small as single pillows (had to fold one over) and an alarm was going off alot of the night but this may not have been helped by the hotel itself (sounded like a house burglar alarm) apart from that it was great

Evening meal was disgusting, drunken loud people, hot tub had a ring of scum round it. Fire alarm went off so had to stand in an unlit car park just after 12 midnight no hotel staff informed us of what was going on.

All aspects of the hotel are very average from the staff to the rooms to the food in the restaurant especially for the price they charge. I was woken at 5.40am by the bottle bins being emptied under my window
