Good location to City CentrePosted Apr 13, 2014
Cons: Wi-fi access
Location: Good central location for city centre - lots of shops and pubs
When booking this hotel one thing I needed was Wi-fi as I had work to carry out while I was in Nottingham. On the Welbeck Hotel's website they offered "free Wi-fi" - they did not state the only free wi-fi was on the fifth floor in their restaurant. When I approached the desk clerk about this I was told "there is nothing I can do about this!!" I advised I needed to work and his hotel had stated there was free wi-fi and I was not prepared to work from their restaurant. The desk clerk told me I could move hotels at my cost or stay in my room without wi-fi. I did then speak the the general manager who was very rude and offered no solution! Eventually I was moved onto the fifth floor where I could pick up very intermittent and weak wi-fi signal. If I had known about the wi-fi issue and the staff attitude I would not have booked this hotel !

Nice hotel, in good position, close to pubs, restaurants, but far enough away so you don't get the noise. Empty restaurant and bar, if they lower the prices they may get busier

Nice hotel very close to town centre approx 5 minsPosted Apr 6, 2014
Nice hotel only 5 mins walk from town centre. Staff very friendly and helpful. Cooked breakfast was great value for money. We stayed at this hotel while visiting my son at university and the hotel was on offer at the time so great value for money too. A very enjoyable stay, looking forward to my next visit and would definitely recommend.

Extremely poor experiencePosted Mar 24, 2014
Private party kept everyone awake until 12.30am midweek. Needed to be up at 5.30am The gentleman on reception said "don't blame me I've just come on shift" ! then refused to give me a receipt when i checked out in the morning. Disgusting customer service.

Hospitality TrayPosted Mar 20, 2014
Pros: roof top restaurant, but didnt have chance to use it.... and very stylish hotel
Cons: It needs a car park !!!! although the multistorey across the road is ok, still have to pay to use it....
Location: Location was good and easy to find, if you know Nottingham..... i did. theatre royal and playhouse very close
A nice clean room with a good view, Only fly in the ointment was a used hospitality tray. although when advised it was changed immediately. Otherwise an enjoyable stay. And best of all a Porter to open the door!!! havent seen a porter anywhere for years.....
