We loved this property. Food & all service- absolutely excellent. Night life- nil. Best all inclusive we've ever been to. Will try another Grand Velas property at a destination closer to nightlife & shopping, next time.

I went with my boyfriend to Riu Vallarta in March 2015 and it was absolutely AMAZING. Literally the best and easiest vacation I have ever been on!! The staff consistently went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we could possibly want or need. The only reviews that made me nervous before going were the ones about personal items/cash being stolen from the safe - so my boyfriend and I put the "Do Not Disturb" sign on our door every day before we left the room and we had absolutely no problems at all. Therefore, yes we also did not have our room cleaned the entire time, but it was super easy to just call down for clean towels every morning and it gave me more peace of mind in the long run.

Great beach, played for hours in the awesome waves. Very clean all over (they are always cleaning, mowing, washing etc). Food was good, not great. Breakfast was always great. I'm kinda a picky eater and I always found something good to eat. Really liked the Steak House (great eating and watching the sunset) and Mexican specialty restaurants. My wife loved the Italian Restaurant Salmon dish. Loved watching the movie on the beach, saw a movie that I was really wanting to see so it was perfect. Good drinks (bring a big mug) but small. I always had 34 oz. in my grasp at all times. Nightly entertainment was good some nights, average on others, but it is a great theater it get drinks, watch and relax after dinner. Room was on the 6th floor with a great view of the ocean, very nice. Nice rooms too.

We enjoyed every minute of our stay. Lots of food, plenty of drinks, abundant activities in a beautiful setting. The restaurants were very nice and took very special care of us. Every single staff member is genuinely friendly and always willing to help with anything. The outdoor Mexican fiesta was over the top and unbelievably well organized. Everyone there works very hard to make your stay and the whole atmosphere just wonderful. It's the second time I've been there, first with my family then with my girlfriends and I would go again in a heart beat.

I just returned from a 4 day stay at Villa Estancia where I went with my two young kids, husband, and mother. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely return. We especially liked the use of the neighbor resort, the Flamingo, which offered many pool activities that catered to kids and the pristine beach.

We really enjoyed staying at Paradise Village. There were only a couple of things I would of changed. First the checking in process was crazy. Not enough staff for all the people checking in so we had to wait quite a while in line. I would suggest more staff for busy check in days like Saturdays. Then I would suggest a little more choices for dinner at night. A lot of the same salads and such every night. But over all we loved the hotel the staff always very helpful and accommodating. We would love to go back with our whole family.

This was my first time to Mexico. So this was a short 3 day vacation for me. I traveled alone and was greatly surprised at the beautiful scenery of the hotel. The weather was great. The food and poolside bar was awesome! The food was well prepared and offered a nice variety of Italian and Mexican cuisine. I definitely intend to come back for a longer stay. I didn't get a chance to take advantage of the Spa or go on any tours. I highly recommend this hotel for single travelers, families. etc. Enjoy your stay!
