Good facilities for all ages

Posted Jun 30, 2015
Well positioned resort that caters for all ages. They have 2 ponds with fish and ducks that we fed as well as a few lemon trees we picked some juicy lemons from. We took advantage of the outdoor spa which we had all to ourselves. Their 2 swimming pools were calling but the weather didn't allow for swimming unfortunately. Swimming towels (free) and heaters where provided by the reception. (Our air con didn't work and they wanted to charge for a cot - nowhere did it state a cost when booking). The room was very clean and had a practical layout. We used the spa bath and the kids had a ball! Great family memories! We only stayed for one night but could should have done 2 with all the things to do in the region. Unfortunately we didn't have time to make use of the restaurant and brewery and just missed the jumping castle.

Convenient location.Great restaurant.

Pros: Location and setting. It was great to be able to eat outside and the children have a play area.
Cons: Price per night. Quite expensive on the weekend.
Location: Hunter valley wineries and breweries, cheese places etc.
Stayed her to attend a concert at Tempus 2 Winery. very convenient location. The restaurant was excellent with a great choice of menu items. The setting is lovely and there is a kid's playground.

Pros: Good location.
Cons: Update the furnishings, give everything a lick of paint, add some more usability to the bathroom.
Location: plenty of wineries to choose from, and various activities at Hunter Valley Gardens.
Underwhelming stay in the Hunter Valley. The hotel employee at check-in was pretentious and rude, though fairly efficient. The rooms are tired and rather odd. Our room had an adjoining door to another room blocked by a desk as if the lock wasn't terribly secure (and I have no idea where the desk could be moved to if the occupants wanted to open the door, either). The bed was, I think, a flinstones era rock. At least that matched the 'rustic' looking interior brickwork and view over a roadway. Tiny, tiny tv that was mismatched with the generous size of the room overall. Bathroom was enormous but completely lacked extra functionality (nowhere to hang or pile clothes while showering, or to store toiletries).

Potters Brewery

We went to Potters Brewery for a couples getaway and also for the Brewery tasting tour. The hotel was great so was the breakfast in the morning. The Brewery tasting tour was a disappointment.

The room smelled, lots of bugs above the bathroom at night, furniture and facilities condition was old, though hotel staff was very friendly and location was good.

Nice hotel with plenty of amenities

Posted Feb 24, 2015
We had a wonderful stay at Potters. My wife and I had a good game of tennis, made a few friends and the food is pretty decent. The swimming pool could have been kept in a better condition . Overall a nice , laid back place with live music, in house beer and a great ambience.Would definitely visit again.

Pros: There was ample parking!
Cons: Design, quality, maintenance, commitment to hospitality.
Location: Its interesting to drive around and look at all the places you should have stayed.
This hotel is an awful long way from a luxury resort. It's styled along the lines of a retirement home; but a retirement home run on a very tight budget. If its the little things that count its also their absence that you notice. We were provided with two lovely fluffy bath towels, but no hand towels. The cheap toiletries were bolted to the wall in the style of a back packers' hostel. On enquiring about the hot tub I was told it was hot but there were no jets - which makes it a large bath actually. The flower beds were full of dead plants which really summed the place up. Nobody here cares.

Cons: Very uncomfortable roll away sofa bed , could feel springs through the mattress. could hear everything. from the room next door, no sound proofing.
Location: Australia
Facilities: Basic; Value: Over-priced; Service: Courteous; no signal to most channels on TV . Could only access about 3 channels. Information book incorrect about this!!
