decent kitchen, large bathroom

Posted Aug 25, 2014
Pros: view, pool
Cons: clean drains, replace carpet, no smoking sign @ poolside.
Location: near everything that matters in waikiki. walking distance to beach, bay, and shopping.
the shower drain was clogged and the carpet was very old and not fun to walk on barefoot. otherwise, it was comfortable, had a good balcony view, and a nice pool. there was an obnoxious cigar smoker who made the poolside smell terrible, so they should not allow smoking there right by the pool.

Misleading

Posted Aug 25, 2014
Not like pictures. Very misleading. Ceiling on 17th floor leaking above toilet. Didn't clean the bathroom when we were out. Not enough towels. No coffee pot and coffee in room. No parking. Had to park in other hotel got charged for 24 hrs and wasn't allowed to stay the 24 hrs. Not enough pillows. Couldn't chk out until room was inspected so we had to wait at chk out

Good location

Posted Aug 21, 2014
Good for the price & location. They charge a daily "amenity" fee that I wish I knew before booking & parking is $25 a day. The rooms were clean but everything is extremely dated & needs to be updated. The beds are old & super uncomfortable. I don't regret staying here but next time I'll spend a little more & get a more comfortable hotel closer to the water.

This place is only good to lay your head but definitely not worth the price. Hotel was very plain, fitness center, pool and amenities were a joke. If the hotel is going to charge a resort fee than I would expect to feel like I am in a resort hotel and not a motel.

Thank you for your comments! The whole Waikiki area is considered a resort area and many of the hotels that fall in our category do not offer any of the amenities that we offer. We decided to add these amenities due to guest requests and the amenity fee applies to each room, no matter how many guests are occupying. Mahalo Roy Yamamoto General Manager

Slow to prepare room for new check-ins.

Posted Aug 17, 2014
Pros: Had a fully equipped kitchen but no coffee maker.
We got there at 1 PM to check-in and was informed that the room was not ready. So we left and came back at 4 PM. We were surprised that the room was still not ready. Eventually the front desk clerk was able to find another room for us.

Watch out for hidden fees!

Posted Aug 17, 2014
$20 a night for the amenities fee $25 a night for parking pass $35 a night for any guest over the two staying there With the barely working elevators, water main breaking, and loud neighbors partying through the night, the only redeaming factor was the location. 2/5

Thank you for your comments! Our amenity fees have been added due to guest requests for the most sought after amenities, which include the access to in room wi-fi which gives all guests using the room with one single charge to the room. Our parking rates are considered on the lower end for the Waikiki area, where many properties charge $35.00 and up for valet service (our property is self park). Many hotels in the Waikiki area do not provide parking and street parking is the only alternative. When booking in the future, we highly recommend you add the number of guests who will be occupying the room. At the time of check in, if there are any added guests the additional charges would allow for room amenities (towels, linens, pillows etc;). Again, mahalo for your comments Roy Yamamoto General Manager

Great Location, very nice staff

Posted Aug 13, 2014
Pros: Very friendly staff and great location
Cons: Needs updating, a little old and outdated, but well kept and clean
Location: Not super close to the beach, about a 7 minute walk through a beautiful park, but right at the head of the main shopping district
We stayed in one of the Penthouse units. I have a big family of 7 and it worked out perfectly. Large living area with small dining area and kitchen. Three bedrooms with 2 double beds in each room. Had a problem one night where the couple from the unit next door barged into our apartment and scared my teenage daughter. Apparently housekeeping forgot to lock up correctly after they cleaned. The front desk manager (Sean) made it up to us by sending my whole family to a wonderful seafood buffet...quite a treat. The views, even in the middle unit, are phenomenal. The staff are awesome. The kitchen has most of the basic needs for cooking plus a full fridge. Small annoying things that don't matter that much are: Laundry was tough because one of the three machines was broken and there was a huge line waiting. Wifi is very slow but doable. Only 3 elevators and they are hot and slow. All in all we loved the hotel. My kids are pretty picky and they had a great time. Would definitely stay there again.

Nice and clean.

Posted Aug 11, 2014
Pros: Big rooms, big lanais, and a kitchenette.
Cons: Just update furniture in the rooms.
Location: It was located between the beach and the canal. So within walking distance of shopping and places to eat.
First thing is this place is dated and it was not a facturw to me. All i care about that it was clean, comfortable, secure! The staff here is so nice and accommodating, like they held our bags until check in at 3pm. Yes this was a 3star hotel back in the day, but the staff makes up for it in hospitality, like Keri.
