Nice and cheap

Posted Nov 18, 2014
Our room wasn't always perfectly clean but it was a pleasant, rather cheap stay close to all activities and busses in Waikiki!

Nice staff

Posted Nov 15, 2014
My husband and I would never stay here again. The staff was very friendly but the old dirty carpet, paint stripped and scratched walls, and decades old styles within the room had us waking up in the night to check for bed bugs. None were found or felt;) We had planned to stay a few days more but decided to leave after the first night due to the uncomfortable conditions. This hotel needs a major overhaul.

Economical hotel

Posted Nov 13, 2014
It is good location to access down town as well as sea shore. And the hotel price is pretty reasonable, but you will be better not to expect too much more.

Big room , but poor facility

Posted Nov 10, 2014
The room was big enough to have a family stay comfortably. But, the facility was not so fancy . I could be suitable for a family who would like to have economical trip.

Pros: Friendly staff, room space and convenience.
Cons: The a/c drains and softer beds
Location: I'm here on business, so there are plenty of places to eat and shop nearby. The beach is within walking distance. This location is a very busy place
Staff is EXCELLENT!!! Rooms are very big!!! New kitchen appliances, rooms well kept and clean!! Beds are a little on the hard side and the air conditioner is not your friend if you're a light sleeper. The a/c unit drips into a bucket and may over flow which makes the balcony a big puddle. But all in all a great place to stay and I had NO issues with anything!!!

Decent location. Liked to nickel and dime you.

The hotel was in a decent place near Wakikki. However they charged $25 a day for car parking and they charged to use washing machines and dryers. You can tell the building is old. The shower was ancient and apparently hot water can't be had till around noon.

Thank you for your comments Nick: I'm sorry that you were not fully satisfied during your stay with us. Parking is a problem in the Waikiki area and other hotels do charge a higher rate up to $50.00 a night for valet service. Since parking is not used by all guests staying at the hotel, we do not charge a flat rate to jeapardize the costs of the room and taxes and keep it as an option. The laundry facility also is an option to use and it is very popular with our guests who do not want to send their laundry out for professional cleaning (which costs much higher). We appreciate your business. Much Mahalo Roy Yamamoto General Manager

Found 2 live German roach, 2 live bed bugs, toilet kept running, rug had stains. AC noisy didnt cool entire rm. TV would turn off by itself. Staff friendly. Store that sells baked goods, drinks just outside the door. ABC Store @ d corner. Maid didnt wipe the table, left little bwn make-up..still there.

Thank you for your comments and rating. I am very sorry to hear about your experience with the roach problem, which "Hawaii" as a whole experiences during the hot humid months. We do our best to fumigate our rooms on a timely basis. Since we do provide kitchens in most of our rooms, we take extra care to inspect the rooms for leftover food items that guests may have left unattended during their stay that would attact the pests. I apologize that we were not able to meet your full expectations during your visit with us but we do appreciate your patronage. Much mahalo Roy Yamamoto General Manager

Had higher expectations

Pros: The cost of the room was convenient, the water bottle that was provided as part of the resort fee.
Cons: Less noisy aircon, upgrade the rooms so they dont look so dated. Some dish complementary dish soap and paper towels.
Location: Beach is about a 10 min walk, shops are really close by, very convenient location.
The photos of the triple twin rooms with Kitchenette looked way better than they really were. The comfort of the room gets a 2 because there was a lot of space which was great, but the room itself was really rundown. For such a large bathroom, there is a small shower and nowhere to put your shampoos and soaps conveniently. We had a drip in the bathroom from the ceiling over the toilet. The aircon worked but was loud and we could never get it working on auto because being on the 3rd floor, the whole floor is open to the elements (not enclosed) and the room was large and it only cooled down half of the room. The half that was by out beds with the loud aircon. The front door was constantly getting stuck with the thick layers of paint which one would think they could just replace the door with something better for that environment. We took a room with a kitchen but we were only there for 4 days. It would have been nice to have some dish soap and paper towels at least. why would we buy this stuff for such a short stay. I found that the resort fee was really expensive for a hotel thats not very updated. Most 3* hotels give free wifi but the resort fee of $20 a day included that, plus use of pool and a free water bottle. (water bottle was a good idea) I hope they will upgrade the rooms because its a great location and the staff are really friendly. I would only recommend this hotel based on the price and the kitchen if someone wanted to stay more than a week.

Thank you very much for your comments and rating. I am sorry to hear that we were not able to meet your full satsifaction during your stay with us. Regarding the dishwashing detergent and sponge to wash the dishes, they are available at anytime by contacting the housekeeping department that would have gladly taken it up to your room free of charge. We appreciate your patronage. Much mahalo Roy Yamamoto General Manager
