“Stay Here!”

This is a great hotel! This was my second stay here. The room was clean, very comfortable, quiet and close to everything. The staff was very nice and helpful. If need directions or help just ask the bellman. You won't be disappointed in this hotel, I will stay there again.

“One of better experiences in Waikiki area”

Staff very accommodating and friendly. Rooms very clean. Spacious, but not huge rooms. We had corner room, and it had two balconies. One had partial Waikiki view, the other mountain and Kuhio Avenue view. No, this isn't your 4 or 5 star top notch hotel, but a well maintained boutique hotel where the staff gets to know you personally. Free coffee (really good), hot tea, iced water, tea, and lemon water. Pool area small but very eye appealing, pool clean. Only downfall is the lower story you stay (they only have 12 floors), it starts getting noisy at 6 am with the public bus service. They do, however, provide earplugs. I never had a problem, but I can see that many might. Request higher floor (8 or higher), ask Puna (guy that works the lobby) for suggestions, and have a great time. In a GREAT location close to EVERYTHING important to someone staying in Waikiki area.

“Great Location”

We stayed here for our honeymoon. The continental breakfast was delivered daily to our room although we could have had it by the pool. Yogurt, juice, pastry and coffee. Was within walking distances of many souvenir type stores, upscale stores (i.e. Prada, Coach, etc.), restaurants of all types, and the beach of course. Is on the busline and trolley line so no real need for a car. But several car rental and moped rental services within one block of hotel. Parking is very limited at hotel. Had a great view of ocean and pool. Was a wonderful stay! Very comfortable.

“Super place to stay in Waikiki”

Overall, I loved the Aqua Bamboo hotel. It's definitely not "high end", so if that's what you're looking for, go elsewhere. For a traveler on more of a budget who wanted a nice place to stay near all the action, it suited me perfectly. It's in a great location just three minutes from the main part of Waikiki Beach, and near all the nightlife. The hotel has very pleasing, tasteful decor in the lobby, the rooms, and the pool area. It's very clean. The pool area is cozy and heavily secluded from streets and surrounding hotels. The pool actually has a faux waterfall where the circulated water drops back into the pool, and it's a nice touch. The hotel also has coin operated laundry facilities on multiple floors. If I would've known about that ahead of time I would have brought fewer clothes than I did. I would highly recommend the hotel. There was just one minor thing that mildly bothered me. My room had the old fashioned separate hot/cold shower controls, and on the first day it was quite a tricky process getting the hot and cold settings to produce a consistent shower water temperature. Even when I got things about where I wanted them, the temperature would oscillate above and below my optimal point. Having a single water control lever might improve things. I did adapt to the controls and did just fine with my showers, so don't let this deter you from staying here. Overall, I'm thrilled I chose to stay at the Aqua Bamboo.

“Would stay again”

The hotel is close to waikiki beach and other waikiki attractions. The staff is friendly and it was nice to have a kitchen in the room. The pool is small but we spent most of our time at the beach so we didn't mind.

“Can't wait to go back!”

I really enjoyed my stay here. I had read several bad revues of this hotel, but NONE of them were true. This hotel was clean and the staff was helpful. I would stay here again.

“Happy with Aqua Bamboo in Waikiki”

The staff was extremely courteous and friendly. The hotel was in an ideal location, with a plethora of restaurants and eateries. Very convenient to the beach and not far at all from Diamond Head and Honolulu's version of Rodeo Drive.
