Hotel well locatedPosted Sep 28, 2014
Pros: The location
Cons: The plug opening and closing mechanism in the bathroom was inoperable. Clearly routine maintenance was required as the mechanism was seized by rust.
The staff were excellent and very friendly. The room safe was not user friendly.

Renovations in progressPosted Sep 23, 2014
Cons: Inform of renovation prior to accepting reservation.
Location: Great location; close to beach & shopping. Within walking distance to Ala Moana mall & many restaurants.
Hotel location was great. Hotel staff was good. Hotel was under renovation: Lobby was a mess. Hotel pool was not useable. Ice maker on 4th floor was out of order (had to go to floors 6, 8, or 10) for ice. Would NOT have stayed at Aqua Palms if I had known that it was in the middle of renovating.

generally okPosted Aug 28, 2014
Pros: pubric transpotation
Cons: little bit old
Location: huge shopping center
Aqua Palms is located between Ala Moana shopping center and waikiki beach. 5~10 minutes walk to the shoppong center 30 minutes to waikiki beach. The pink line troully stops right front of the hotel gate, that is awesome. Ihop is right next door, and nice american diner is right after next door.

Good hotel for the moneyPosted Aug 4, 2014
Pros: Friendly staff, comfortable rooms, convenient location
Cons: Carpet needs to be replaced.
Location: On busy Ala Moana Blvd., convenient to beaches, other hotels, and restaurants. Close to Ala Moana shopping center.
Aqua Palms is an older hotel which has kept its original charm. No bells and whistles, but a clean room, friendly staff and adjoining parking. Convenient location. A bit noisy with the morning traffic and other activities, but the interior was quiet. No loud parties at all hours. Carpet could use a redo. If they shampoo it one more time, they're liable to hit flooring. Bed was comfortable and bathroom was miniature but very adequate.

Extremely close to the beach, great locationPosted Jul 7, 2014
This hotel was very close to the beach, and about a 10-15 minute walk to the Royal Hawaiian shopping mall and Ala Moana mall. There was also a trolley that stopped right at the hotel, which made getting around easy as well. The hotel itself was very nice, the rooms were very clean and quite spacious, and the hotel staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Would definitely stay here again!

Lovely hotel near beachPosted Jul 2, 2014
Pros: I loved the aqua colour theme and clean beach towels as needed, I appreciated the smiling staff and efficient storage of my luggage after check-out.
Cons: Metal chairs really hard to move and insufficient room between desk and bed to leave chair out. Lanai doors locked so no tropical air or night views.
Location: Excellent situation 1 block from beach, easy walk to lovely beachfront restaurants, shops and water activities and Ala Moana Centre.
I was really happy with the location of Aqua Palms, towards the yacht harbour end of Waikiki where it is more peaceful and less crowded than the centre of Waikiki. The staff were smiling and helpful which enhances your experience especially when you are travelling alone like me. I enjoyed not needing a car, an entertaining trolley ride took me from the door anywhere too far to walk such as the Aquarium and Diamond Head. It was great being a few minutes walk to the beautiful beach, shops and eateries and being surrrounded by warm, fragrant air day and night. You can exchange your Aqua Palms beach towel as needed for a clean one, which is a great system. I especially enjoyed watching Hawaiian hula dancing and singing and eating fresh tropical food
