Extremely close to the beach, great locationPosted Jul 7, 2014
This hotel was very close to the beach, and about a 10-15 minute walk to the Royal Hawaiian shopping mall and Ala Moana mall. There was also a trolley that stopped right at the hotel, which made getting around easy as well. The hotel itself was very nice, the rooms were very clean and quite spacious, and the hotel staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Would definitely stay here again!

Lovely hotel near beachPosted Jul 2, 2014
Pros: I loved the aqua colour theme and clean beach towels as needed, I appreciated the smiling staff and efficient storage of my luggage after check-out.
Cons: Metal chairs really hard to move and insufficient room between desk and bed to leave chair out. Lanai doors locked so no tropical air or night views.
Location: Excellent situation 1 block from beach, easy walk to lovely beachfront restaurants, shops and water activities and Ala Moana Centre.
I was really happy with the location of Aqua Palms, towards the yacht harbour end of Waikiki where it is more peaceful and less crowded than the centre of Waikiki. The staff were smiling and helpful which enhances your experience especially when you are travelling alone like me. I enjoyed not needing a car, an entertaining trolley ride took me from the door anywhere too far to walk such as the Aquarium and Diamond Head. It was great being a few minutes walk to the beautiful beach, shops and eateries and being surrrounded by warm, fragrant air day and night. You can exchange your Aqua Palms beach towel as needed for a clean one, which is a great system. I especially enjoyed watching Hawaiian hula dancing and singing and eating fresh tropical food

A very nice and cute hotel with helpful staffPosted Jul 2, 2014
Pros: Staff; Service; Hospitality;
Cons: Perhaps renovate the elevator? It is not security mended, anyone (including non-hotel guests) can get in.
Location: Ala Moana Shopping Centre is just a 13 mins walk. Also a 15 mins walk to the main Kalakaua Ave where all the luxury brands and local boutiques are.
We stayed with Aqua Palms Waikiki for 10 nights and we thoroughly enjoyed every stay of it. Hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. Although the condition of the hotel itself is a little bit old fashioned but our room was always clean and comfortable. Hotel provides free in-room WiFi, which is definitely an advantage for international travellers!!!! The hotel also provides free fruits at the main desk and complimentary beach amenities. There is an Expedia concierge desk and the lady Malia there was sooooooo friendly and helpful, she arranged our entire stay with wonderful tours but also gave us free time to enjoy the beach. I cannot thank enough of all the staff at Aqua Palms Waikiki, highly recommend everyone staying there and experience the true Hawaiian hospitality!

Request a balconyPosted Jun 21, 2014
Pros: Location, price
2-night stay was booked as Deluxe Diamond Head view. Room was large, clean and comfortable but had no balcony and primary view was an elevator shaft. Diamond Head was visible if you stretched over the railing.

I like Aqua Palms WaikikiPosted Jun 8, 2014
Pros: Reasonable rate, free internet with fast enough speed, close to the beach and a Chinese restaurant, friendly staff.
Location: Close to the beach, a Chinese restaurant, close to Hilton Hotel where you may join day tours easily.
I like Aqua Palms Waikiki because of the following factors: 1) It is not very far to the beach; 2) Its rate is reasonable compared to other hotels in the Waikiki area; 3) It is next door to a Chinese restaurant 4) The front desk staff is very friendly and accommodating 5) Its free internet is very easy to connect and the speed is fast enough for my requirement.

Great Budget Hotel with Lots of Nice TouchesPosted Jun 3, 2014
Cons: Soundproofing on street side.
Location: Next to Hawaii Hilton Village.
Tons of pros for a budget hotel and one big con. Make sure to stay above Floor 8 if you stay on the street side, or move to the residential side. They provide lots of small thoughtful touches - great smelling toiletries, apples in lobby, plenty of local information, great air conditioning, very clean. Staff is wonderful. A little difficult to find since IHOP fronts most of it.

Close to Shops, Activities and WaikikiPosted May 31, 2014
Only stayed the one night on a stop-over but plenty to do locally. Many trolley buses stop right outside. Concierge recommended a great restaurant just around the corner and seemed very knowledgeable on local needs.

Budget Hotel with very few flaws...Posted May 27, 2014
Hotel Aqua Palms in Honolulu, Hawaii, offers a decent accommodation for fairly little money Oman otherwise expensive island. When we arrived we were greeted by very friendly and helpful reception desk staff. We had book a room with partial sea view. Ours was on the 9th of 12 floors. The room itself offered all we wanted: a king size bed, large screen TV, a European style refrigerator, a coffee make, an irion and an ironing board. The couch in the room was fatigued and seemed in need of a thorough cleaning or, even better, replacement. The laptop safe was large enough to store my large laptop, all phones an iPads at once (with room to spare). The small balcony with room to sit and have drinks on rounded the picture. As I mentioned before, compared to most of the other hotels this one was well priced. Therefore the pool area was not very enticing (somewhat sparse on vegetation and decoration) and the sea view very partial (across the street one finds the Hilton Hawaiin Village, blocking most of the view. Parking is in house, very convenient and with $25 a day expensive. The hotel (including room and pool) was very clean, the cleaning staff very friendly and accommodating. If you are on a budget but don't want to miss certain comforts, then we can only recommend Honolulu's Aqua Palms Hotel.
