Convenient, good location.

Pros: The staff were lovely and location was great. We had two toilets in our suite which was very handy with 5 people. Well serviced room.
Cons: Room was set up to cater for 4 people even thought it was 3 bedroom suite. Needed to have more plates, cutlery and seating for at least 6 people.
Location: Fantastic location, supermarket around the corner, trolley stop near by. Waikiki beach a short walk away and lots of shopping near by.
Staff were friendly and helpful. The room was well maintained with it being serviced every day however we did find the floor quite slippery and this was a bit of a hazard with two young, active boys. The location was very good with Waikiki beach being less than a 10 minute walk away, a supermarket and trolley stop being just around the corner. We stayed in the three bedroom suite but the third bedroom was disappointing as it was simply a bed in a curtained off area of the lounge/dining room area. With our deal we had free wifi that was supposed to be high speed however it constantly dropped out and was very unreliable which was a bit inconvenient. It was handy to have the use of washing machines and dryers but felt that the cost of $3.00 each to use was quite high. The air conditioning in the suite was good and it was very handy that we could adjust it to our comfort level. Overall a good experience and we would stay there again.

Quality shopping &restaurants walking distance, staff very personable, negatives: parking minimal, street noise late night excessive (motorcycles)

I have stayed at better, friendlier, less expensive hotels in Waikiki. I would not recommend this hotel

Good value and location

Had a good stay at the Aqua Waikiki Pearl. Nothing fancy but good value. Rooms are clean and staff is great. Location is also good, not right by the beach but only about a 5min walk. Stayed at the Sheraton (Princess) down the street for a couple of nights afterwards and honestly it was twice the price for a smaller, more outdated room.

Decent place to crash for a short stay

Posted Aug 12, 2014
I spent a short night here on a one-night layover in Honolulu. There were some nice things. The receptionist and security guard were very friendly. I like the location in the quieter part of Waikiki near the Canal, but still plenty close to the action. The room had a big, new TV, and there were high-quality toiletries. Decent air-conditioning. But my room didn't have any kind of a view or a balcony. And because the room faced out to an external hallway, it was necessary to keep the curtains closed. And while the bed and furnishings were reasonably new and clean, the room itself and the building are definitely worn. So, this place was okay -- but there are better choices in Waikiki, even among midlevel hotels back near the canal.
