Older hotel

Posted Apr 23, 2015
The hotel was well located and cram. However, the decor was older and well worn. The bathroom, though clean and functional, was drab. Free wi-Fi was a plus. Lack of a pool and outdoor space to relax was a minus. The room had a balcony, but the outlook was not pleasant. Overall, good value but not tremendously appealing.

Parking sucked

Posted Apr 23, 2015
Hotel is near shopping areas, which is great. But when you're driving out to explore the island, good luck finding parking in the garage when you get back. The garage is suppose to be for hotel guest only which requires a blue print out paper to be placed at front window. Most cars in the garage didn't have that blue paper. On top of that parking is charged at $25 per night of your stay on top of the already $15 per night charge for hotel hospitality fee.

Awesome location close to everything!

Posted Apr 22, 2015
Pros: Everything!
Cons: Onsite laundry and updated gym gear would be nice but coin op laundry 2 mins away and we walked everywhere keeping fit!
Location: Everything in Waikiki beach is minutes walk and shuttles buses galore!
Loved staying here! Free beach towel changeover awesome. Super friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff. Our outgoing flight cancelled and stayed at the Alamoana and that was perhaps nicer but not as comfortable and nowhere near as much fun.

I loved the location and value of this hotel!

I loved the location and value of this hotel! Located one block up from the beach on Kuhio Street, which has a grocery store and a laundro-mat, plus free overnight parking on the side streets! It was a really cute area of Waikiki.

Pros: Price, location.

Spacious, clean, had balcony, ac worked fine. The bathroom was dated. The Chinese restaurant downstairs was excellent.

Meh

Posted Apr 20, 2015
Pros: Price and location were okay.
Cons: I think in general it looks like a budget hotel in terms of decor and amenities. I would suggest that they add some bicycles as part of their $15 fee
Honestly, we pretty much got what we expected in terms of room quality. Lacking was any notification that 1/2 the hotel faces a construction zone and will until at least the Spring of 2016. One thing I found curious was that when we arrived, we saw about a dozen almonds on th efloor in the guest corridor we used. Being a long time hotelier, out of habit I bent over to pick them up and throw them away..........but at he last minute, out of curiousity, I decided to leave them and see how long they would be there before being picked up. Well, hate to say it, but they were there from Wednesday evening when we arrived until Saturday morning when we departed. I tipped the housekeepers every day and the staff was reasonbly friendly throughout our stay. We were out and about almost the entire stay, so not overly concerned with the properties shortcomings. Probably fine for the young, active traveler who will not be spending much time in the room, but for those who are looking for more amenities, more attention to detail.....there are better options nearby.

騒音

Posted Apr 18, 2015
Pros: やはり、立地です。
Cons:

Good hotel and location

Posted Apr 18, 2015
Pros: They allowed early check in and gave me a few extra hours of parking which was a biggie in Waikiki where you want to avoid a car if possible.
Cons: Warning of major construction right next door which will probably continue for a year or longer.
Once you get over Waikiki pricing and paying for parking plus those dreaded resort fees, this place was reasonable value.

Aloha. We appreciate your reference to the Aqua Waikiki Wave Hotel as being a reasonably valued hotel in a good location, remaining family affordable in these hard economic times is very important to us. Currently there is temporary construction going on in an area next to us where the International Market Place is being reconstructed to include approximately 75 retailers and seven restaurants. This new facility will greatly benefit both travelers and residents of Waikiki alike and we look forward to its completion. Mahalo for your feedback.
