“GREAT HONOLULU HOTEL”

I live on the island of Maui in Hawaii. My husband was at a hospital in Honolulu and I stayed at the Aston. The hotel was so nice that we will definately stay there on our next interisland trip.

“Friendly service and convenient location to Cruise ships”

We chose this hotel for convenient access to the cruise ship dock which was an easy 10 minute walk away. Service was friendly and on arrival our accommodation had been upgraded to a suite. Several excellent restaurants in the vicinity

“Pleasant surprise”

When we made our reservation we opted not to pay extra for an ocean view since we were only staying one night before embarking on a cruise. Upon arrival, we had been bumped up to a better accomodation, an ocean view suite on the 27th floor. The living room/kitchen area had one entire wall of glass. The bedroom was on a corner and had two entire walls of glass. A continental breakfast was included. The hotel was within easy walking distance of shopping and the pier where our cruise ship docked. We were not looking for pampering, just a decent stop-over between plane and ship. While it wasn't a luxury resort it was much nicer than we had expected it to be. No complaints.

“Satisfied customer”

My husband and I were visiting Kauai the day before our early morning flight back to the mainland, so we chose to stay overnight at this hotel for its (relative) proximity to the airport. The taxi driver was surprised that we were staying there, because it's away from the tourist areas. Actually, it appeared to us like it was a mixed-use building that may have had condo units on other floors. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. The room was a spacious suite, although it did look a little bit like a converted office space. We greatly appreciated the spectacular city view from the 38th floor. Overall, this hotel functioned well for the purpose we were looking for. I would say that it would also work well for business travelers.

Hotel is great, staff very friendly ,view is awesome rooms are very large and clean. I stay here every time i go to Oahu .

“Great location/ exploring, shopping, cruise ship”

We spent one night at the Executive Centre in Honolulu, before catching our cruise ship. The location was perfect...All other hotels were either near the airport or in Waikiki. We were within easy walking distance to all of the main sights in downtown Honolulu, the Capital and palaces, Chinatown and excellent shopping, being adjacent to Macey's and Ross and not too far from the Aloha Tower Marketplace! The waterfront was only a few short blocks away. We were able to walk to the cruise ship for departure. The hotel offered a nice pool area and a lounge where continental breakfast was served. The views were lovely from the lounge and also the rooms. (We had a mountainview room, which included a partial view of the State Capital building). The area felt very safe for walking about, even in the evening. The only concern was a slight musty smell in the corridors and rooms, as the cabinets and fixtures were old, but they appeared very clean and in good repair. The hotel is a perfect choice for a short stay in Honolulu.

“The business end of Honolulu”

Aston at the Executive Center is in the middle of downtown Honolulu, a place where our cab driver warned us there was 'nothing', and that certainly seemed to be the case. However, for an overnight stop en route to the airport and a long flight home, it was a great location. The rooms are comfortable and spacious and even include some cable channels so that we were able to watch Monday Night Football without finding a sports bar. If you can, book a room on the 40th floor. That's the top of the tower and has great views all around Honolulu (and for no additional charge).

“downtown only”

The hotel is located right in the heart of downtown, and is a great place to stay if your intended destination (i.e. work) is the downtown area. Not much for the tourist, though.

“Lacking certain amenities.”

Room had hot plate but no micro. Fridge but no ice machine in the bldg. Two double beds but only one club chair with ottoman. No room service. Restaurant in lobby was closed on weekend. Some great restaurants in the neighborhood but not mentioned in list that came with room.
