The Overview

Local artisans and Disney Imagineers worked together to create Aulani - A Disney Resort & Spa, a sprawling property combining Hawaiian culture with the all-encompassing experiences Disney is known for. At this 21-acre resort, guests can relax on a white-sand beach, sample local cuisine at the 3 on-site restaurants, or sip a tropical cocktail at the poolside bar.

Guests of all ages can explore Waikolohe Valley, the vast network of pools that includes a lazy river, waterslides, an enclosed snorkeling pool with tropical fish, and a play area for children. At Laniwai - A Disney Spa, guests have their pick of more than a hundred treatments, as well as access to the 5,000-square-foot hydrology garden. Painted Sky offers relaxing spa space just for teenagers. Younger guests can spend activity-filled afternoons at Aunty's Beach House, offering children a playground, video games, and supervision, all complimentary at this resort fee-free property.

Shopping is also available for guests, including Hale Manu. The store features a variety of high-end goods and gifts.

Out and About

In the Waikolohe Valley pool area, guests can climb waterslide-lined Pu'u Kilo and zip back down on a tube, go with the flow in the lazy river, or zoom down a body slide into the 8,200-square-foot Waikolohe Pool. At Rainbow Reef, the resort's private snorkeling lagoon, guests can view native Hawaiian sealife through a snorkeling mask or through glass windows. Menehune Bridge offers play space for young guests with 3 waterslides and a climbable play structure. Wailana Pool offers tranquil space to swim, lounge, or enjoy a drink from the poolside bar.

This property also features a family pool, including an infinity edge, a misty grotto with beautiful sunset views and an after-dark experience with glittering lights; a kids’ splash zone resembling a tidal pool; an adult-exclusive pool area; and additional deck space, chairs, chaises and cabanas.

Young guests can spend afternoons at Aunty's Beach House trying island crafts, raiding the dress-up closet, or playing video games, all under the supervision of counselors. While kids explore the enchanted fireplaces and learn more about the islands, parents can spend adults-only time elsewhere in the resort. Access is complimentary, with activities like stargazing and hula-dancing lessons available for a fee.

At the state-of-the-art health club, guests can explore 2,000 square feet of weights, cardio equipment, and fitness studios that host yoga and tai chi classes.
