"Excellent accommodations."
This resort is very very nice. Breathtaking views and beautiful furnishings. This is a top notch condo and we felt very welcome there. It would be nice to be "an owner" and truly see how the other half lives. We had 2 separate condos with 3 bedrooms each. Didn't even feel crowded with 6 total couples and a couple of kids.

"Great value hotel with fantastic staff"
My friend and I stayed at Coconut Waikiki from Oct 25 - Nov 1. From the day we first walked through the doors, the staff were very warm and welcoming, and made our stay a fantastic experience. Although the hotel isn't right across the road from the beach, it is still in a convenient location - major bus stops are only a short walk away, as well as many restaurants. We stayed in room 903. The room was neat, tidy and sanitary - looking almost identical to the photos. The beds were very comfortable and the bathroom was modest in size. Our balcony had the canal to the right and other buildings in front, and noise was not an issue for us. The staff that made my experience very enjoyable were Kia, Clayton, Raquel, Ronald, James, Marvic & our housekeeping lady (room 903). Clayton was fantastic at giving tips as to what to see at the Polynesian Cultural Centre, which beaches to go to, etc. Kia was a breath of fresh air, always positive and was great at giving tips for places to eat and gave WONDERFUL written map directions!! All staff were always very courteous and professional. We would've been so lost without Kia & Clayton especially, though. We will be forever grateful for their help on our first trip to Honolulu Hawaii. Overall, I am extremely impressed with my experience with Coconut Waikiki and will not hesitate to come back again the next time I am in Honolulu. Mahalo Coconut Waikiki!!

"Nice, basic hotel close to beach"
Overall we had a great experience at the Equus. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were nice. Our two biggest complaints have more to do with the location of the hotel than anything the hotel can change now: 1) It is a rather hard hotel to find. It is very narrow and the valet parking location is not obvious like it would be at a bigger hotel. 2) There is a significant flight of stairs to get into the hotel and main lobby. There is no alternate entrance or elevator. For most people this is not a problem, but for my family (we had a 2 year old and stroller) it was a bit of a nuisance everytime we went in or out. Other than that, it was really a nice hotel.

"big resort, a lot of fun. everything you need"
best hotel I've stayed in my life. watch luau show there, has on site parking. many diners and bars. pretty much everything you need to live and have fun and there. hard to leave. also pricy, but totally worth it. since you are on vacation in Hawaii, might as well go big and get the best experience.

"This is the ultimate place to stay in Waikiki!"
We stayed for nine nights in October. If you are coming to Waikiki book the Wave. It is just a three minute walk from the beach and one block from a great grocery store. The staff are always super friendly and helpful. You do have to pay a 15 dollar a night resort fee but it does get you towels for the beach, a shuttle to Ala Moana, and unlimited DVD rentals. The rooms are a little dated but fine. The hotel is really quiet with pleasant balconies, a fridge, and a microwave for your snacks, and a table to sit at inside. The main way is hotel could improve would be to upgrade the showers which are very dingy and have almost no water pressure, which is annoying when you are showering off the sands from Waikiki beach. Overall I would say this is thte best deal it own and the perfect base for your beautiful Oahu holiday.

"Wonderful stay."
Everything was perfect. The staff were very friendly, the food was fantastic, the drinks were delicious, and you're right on Waikiki Beach. It feels like you're staying at a private, hidden resort, even though the hotel sits on Kalakaua Ave. Close to shopping and restaurants.
