“Good”

The condition is just ok. The bed sheet looks not very clean and not feels very comfortable. The conditioner is noisy when turned on. But the overall is ok at this price and location. Really near the beach and the shopping center. And I think the room service is so nice that I'll give a 5 on it.

“Good location and service”

Very good for the reasonable price. We especially appreciated the mini-kitchen in our room, equipped with dishes and cookware. The only glitch was the lack of parking in the hotel garage when we arrived (11:30 p.m.). We were offered "off-site" parking in a nearby shopping center - in theory, quite close, but difficult to find & get into on the 1-way streets of Waikiki in the dark. The next day we requested and were given a spot in the hotel garage.

“Impressed”

I really enjoyed this hotel and it does have its perks. I was able to at any point call down to the hotel desk and they were able to pretty much help me with anything, they even had a person who planned activities there late at night. The room was very clean and comfortable. They even supplied all the dishes and silverware for the mini kitchenette in the room. It is a pretty secue hotel and the front desk is 24hrs. If I needed more towles, they arrived within five minutes. The hotel is about a five to ten minute walk to the beach. I was very impressed with this hotel and I will be going back.

“Can't complain considering the cost of the hotel”

Staff at the hotel were very pleasant, helpful and courteous. New continental breakfast is an added attraction. My daughter enjoyed swimming in their heated swimming pool. Only 3 blocks from the beach.

“richmond squirrel travel to hawaii”

the hotel was great, the staff is really helpfull and friendly, it is a older hotel but its clean, comfortable, safe great location, the staff treated us like a five star resort with out the exp. the price also allowed us to enjoy more of what hawaii had to offer. its not a five star resort but you get alot more service than we did in some over price resort that we have stayed in, thanks to the staff at hokele.

“Easy, basic and layed back. Not fluffy or pretentious.”

If you are looking for a basic and layed back property this will do fine. It's not new, fluffy nor pretentious. The basic continental breakfast and having the daily newspaper delivered to your door are nice extras. Some traffic noise, but the lani was large and enjoyable even without much of a view on the backside of the hotel. Staff is very helpful. The kitchenett is very nice to have.

“Hokele Suites helps one get more enjoyment out of life. MAHALO”

We just got back from two glorious weeks during Christmas and New Years in Waikiki. Our visit was made possible because of the Hokele Suites. Our decision to go was made two weeks before we left. This Castle Resort had last minute deals we could not pass up. All of the other hotels are very over priced. What we saved, more than paid for the meals we were able to prepare in our own kitchen and have a very nice (expensive) meal a day. I was delighted to see this quaint hotel still had a charm that I recall from the late 1960’s when I was in Waikiki. What I noticed most, maybe because it is a smaller hotel, every attention to detail and super friendly “Aloha” spirit we experienced by its staff. We didn’t rent a car either; inexpensive public transportation was right outside the door (leave the driving to someone else). Everything you want to do is within a few blocks. Those who have complained about: (1) noise here have forgotten; WAIKIKI IS AN URBAN SETTING! All “downtowns” are so! So, no matter where you stay, its major traffic everywhere. (2) The rooms are the way they are (style wise)…to save you MONEY! They are very clean, (Gloria is a marvelous keeper). (3) Its not “seedy”…the homeless are everywhere, they’re not hurting us, we’re hurting them; so, share. I will always stay at places like Hokele Suites because; they help one get more enjoyment out of “life”. “MAHALO”

“Not luxury but good value”

An aging hotel but clean and comfortable enough for its low price. Room was small, linens getting a little threadbare. Only two blocks from Waikiki Beach, the location is very convenient if you do not wish to rent a car. Staff was very nice; air conditioning & elevators worked, and mini refrigerator was a welcome amenity. A good hotel if you want to stay on Waikiki in a safe, clean hotel but don't want to spend a lot.
