The 180-unit structure was built in 1963, and two elevators lead to a modern, L-shaped rooftop sundeck with views of Diamond Head, Kapiolani Park, and Waikiki Beach. An outdoor pool is also located on site.

Secluded from Waikiki traffic, the hotel is across from Kapiolani park, which has tennis courts, jogging paths, the Honolulu Zoo, and the Waikiki Aquarium.
