Nice hotelPosted Apr 22, 2015
What i like about the hotel is its location: 5 minute walk to the beach, stores nearby, starbucks nearby and has burger place on the first floor. Room has microwave and mini ref which is a plus. Tv has good channels and comes with kid channels. My daughter and i enjoyed our stay there. Thanks.

Go next doorPosted Apr 18, 2015
Pros: Not much. Nice view from roof.
Cons: They could suggest to all arriving guests that they should stay next door.
Location: Next to zoo. Great location at end of Waikiki beach. Great shopping sunbathing on beach.
Thought we might be able to check in earl about 2 but were rudely told check in was 3 or after. Paid $17 to park car in underground and walked around Waikiki. Room quite small with view overlooking alley and trash. Pool too dirty to use. Air conditioner weak but eventually cooled room - but this was in Apr so temps are mild. Next day, moved next door to Astro, maybe $50 more (and $25 for parking not $17) but worth it

We apologize that you were unhappy with your stay. Our standard check-in time is 3pm. We do try our best to get our guests in their room as early as we possibly can. This is not always possible. Our pool had been out of service for a couple days due to a mechanical issue, but has since been repaired. I will share your comments with our staff. Thank you for taking the time to let us know about your concerns so that we may take care of the problems.

Old hotel at the end of WaikikiPosted Mar 26, 2015
Pros: Nice location except the noisy bar downstairs
Cons: The hotel should care more of those rooms they offer to rent for other companies. Better communication between the hotel and Expedia
Location: Close to Diamond Head, our favorite viewpoint -sadly in this visit we had bad start, no chance to climb the hill. The Zoo, the beach is 3-4 blocks away
The hotel did not get our reservation. On arrival we were sent to 2 different rooms with key, booth occupied. Temporarily we were put in one room for the night, then next day we had to wait for getting our room. Instead of enjoying Hawaii we had to hang around waiting for the room, then we were told to stay there one more day and next day they will figure out something. After an other day wasted we were put in a very small room with view to the back of another building about 30 feet away. That was my 65th birthday. And the trip was my retirement gift. Nice start. I did not accept the room. The manager said he has nothing else.I was ready to leave the hotel to find some other accommodation, when the manager called and offered a room in their sister hotel (Waikiki Shore) at the other end of Waikiki. We accepted right away. That was satisfactory, and finally after 3 days wasted of the 8 days we could open the suitcases pull out the swimming trunks and start to enjoy our vacation. We were on holiday of all the Hawaiian islands several time. This one was not the best, I don't know who made the mistake with the booking. I expected more from Expedia.

ホテルみたいなところPosted Dec 19, 2014

3rd time at the Waikiki Grand HotelPosted Dec 10, 2014
Pros: Convenience to the beach.
Location: Beaches and the Honolulu Zoo.
This was my 3rd visit to the Waikiki Grand, & I had the same room (722) as I did in 2012, which is one of the larger units in the building. The stay was pleasant & the WiFi connection worked perfectly, something that did not happen in 2012. While the location & hotel amenities may not be to everyone's liking, I have no problems with this hotel & would definitely stay here again!

ストレスを感じる部屋の環境Posted Dec 8, 2014

The unobstructed view of Diamondhead from the rooftop would have been worth staying there even if I had not liked my room...but my room (5th floor)was fine...clean with kitchenette, a comfortable bed and pillows...no problems. The restaurant in the lobby area served (in my opinion) great burgers and fries...they also served a few breakfast items. This no frills hotel is not at all upscale, but had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. I will stay there again when I return to Hawaii.
