Beach right there, great situationPosted Dec 2, 2013
Pros: Beach situation first and foremost. Easy to get to most of the other Waikiki attractions.
Cons: Toilet and shower area rather compact!!
Location: Easy access to shopping and of course the beach. We also liked the open area looking out over Fort de Russey, trees and lawn and open spaces.
Suited us well, studio room had small kitchenette which we found handy, rather small in the bathroom areas but adequate.

On the beach and close to shopping and restuarantsPosted Oct 31, 2013
Pros: The location is wonderful with beautiful sunsets. There is easy access to shopping/restaurants. Loved having breakfast on our balcony most mornings.
Cons: It would be nice if the property provided chairs to guests even if they rented them at a discount. Difficult to maneuver garage, plan u-turn upon exit
Location: There are upscale shops and restaurants. Roy's, one of our favorites, is located behind the property. Many ABC shops for items. Drive to sightsee.
The hotel staff was extremely nice and helpful. We were not aware of the parking garage charge of $25 per day before our arrival, but this is apparently the norm. The room was a little disappointing as we had requested and stressed the need for a separate bedroom. The apartment was actually one large room with a sliding divider for the bedroom. The kitchen offered only the bare basics. We had to purchased seasonings to cook with which were left behind for the next guests, but I doubt they were left in the room. We have stayed in many condos including ones on Maui and Kauai and were always provided at the minimum salt, pepper, and olive oil. The property does not provide chairs on the beach for guests. Chair rentals (2) with an umbrella are approximately $40 per day + tax. It is actually more cost efficient to purchase a couple of chairs and an umbrella and sell them to new arrivals when you depart. If you desire a pool, this is not the place to stay. We had a wonderful time, but we would stay at a different location upon our return.

Great ViewsPosted Oct 12, 2013
The best thing I can say about this hotel is that it's on the beach and has great views. That said, parking is a bear. The pillows are like bricks. We actually went to Walmart and bought a couple of cheap pillows, which were better than the ones provided by the hotel. The maid service is virtually non-existent. They make the bed and that's about it. There were days when we'd get no clean towels or toilet paper (we had to use the box of Kleenex...I suppose I should be thankful that was there).

Aloha, Thank you for taking the time to write a response. We do have great views and are located beach front. I will follow up on our housekeeping services as we do include daily maid service in all our Castle Waikiki Shore units and replenish towels and all paper products. I will also look into the pillows. Thank you for bringing it to our attention. We look forward to welcoming you back to the Castle Waikiki Shore. Mahalo, General Manager

Condo on Waikiki BeachPosted Oct 5, 2013
I really liked having a small but fully equipped kitchen and a washer/dryer. There was even a blender and a toaster. Otherwise there's not much comfort amenities in the room (like a couch/lounger) or in the building (no gym or bar) but it's a great base of operation to go do stuff out of. There's a karaoke bar next door. I pretty much walked all of the Waikiki area and walked the entire length of the beach several times and found that there are sea walls to walk on at the hotels where there is no beach in front of. I was not sure if I could before the trip from looking at Google Maps satellite. Mainly surfed at Kuhio beach ($15 to rent 11 foot board 1st hour then $5/hour after) and swam off the beach at the hotel and had a great time. Found some deals for scuba and massage in Honolulu through Groupon before the trip which were great.

Very cleanPosted Sep 29, 2013
Full kitchen in our studio, huge plus. We ate breakfast in and a few dinners. Grocery store within easy walking. They do charge $25 a day for parking so we just walked everywhere vs. renting a car. Staff was awesome and helpful. Speedy Shuttle dropped off and picked right at hotel from airport. You can arrange right when you land, no need to reserve.

Great location so close to everythingPosted Sep 27, 2013
Pros: It had everything you could possibly want and it was serviced every day. Couldn't be closer to the beach and the views are to die for.
Cons: Maybe if there was room add a spa
Location: It is right on the beach and there is food/shops under croft. The beach hire out k yacks ,para sailing and surfboards. You can hire beach lounges too
This was a fantastic place to stay. Sure there a newer hotels but for closeness to the beach, shopping, transport and eating we couldn't have done better. The room was spacious, very clean and it had everything you could possibly want. A bonus it was serviced every day. Not that we cooked, but if you so desire there is a full stove and oven plus a microwave and fridge. There is also a washing machine with powder, a dryer and iron and board. I would not hesitate to stay there again and have recommended family and friends to holiday there. All up VERY HAPPY
