Very nice room with awesome view. I had a ocean view room. Though ocean is not completely visible it is still a very good deal at the given price. The hotel staff is really good. With Expedia I also got complimentary breakfast :)

Average, close to the beachPosted Jan 24, 2015
Front desk staff lacked communication & I had to deal with so many different stories in regards to my own money & to many pre authorisations. Valet parking staff were very friendly even though we weren't using their services. Wouldn't stay there again though. Pro was its only a 5 minute walk to the beach if you cut through the Hilton village

Great hotel close to the beach and Ala MoanaPosted Jan 10, 2015
Pros: Warm cookies! Size of the room, attentiveness of staff. Very well appointed for families and extended stays.
Cons: Tighter cookie controls - they're just too good!
Location: Close to Waikiki beach and Hilton's Hawaiian village. Short distance to the Ala Moana shopping center.
Great interaction with staff from the moment of check-in through check-out. There were VERY attentive to our needs and responded very quickly and always with a smile! Room was a jr. suite and was perfect for the five of us. Room was in excellent shape and very comfortable. Close to Waikiki beach and the Ala Moana shopping center. Views from the balcony were awesome - especially looking out over the lights of Honolulu and the beach. Will be visiting again in March/April timeframe for business and will stay here. Kudos to management and staff for a great stay!

For the hotel to be a doubletree hilton, I expected the room to be spotless like I've experienced before. The beds were comfortable but the bathroom had not been cleaned thoroughly.

Mixed experiencePosted Oct 18, 2014
Stayed 2 nights on the way back from Kona. We stayed here because it was prices cheaper than the hotel we stayed in on our way out of Oahu. The front desk staff was nice and pleasant when we checked in in the morning. We spent the day out and only came back late at night to get the keys to our room. We were met by a different set of staff who were not as friendly. In any case when we get to our room we found a strange smell in the room. Since it was late and we had an early start the next day, we decided to leave the windows open to try and air it out. The next day we spent the day out and came back late and found the smell stronger than ever. Called the front desk and was told we should have reported earlier since it was late. Said they would send someone to check but no one came. Since it was very late by then and we were checking out the next day we decided to just bear with it. A bit disappointed honestly. We fed back to the morning duty staff and they seem sorry about the smell. Apart from that, the hotel doesn't offer free wifi in the room and the parking charge is relatively expensive.

Hawaii Vacation #4Posted Oct 16, 2014
Pros: Close to friends Hawaiian Hilton Village Hotel
Cons: Computer system, A/C, more comfortable lobby,
Location: It's still a fairly long, walk to Ala Moana Shopping Mall, more like 15 minutes NOT 7 minutes.
For the past few times, we'd stayed at Ala Moana Hotel but thought to ask Expedia for a new place, new experience. Well, wished we stayed at Ala Moana Hotel again as their rooms are more spacious, driveway is at least 3 lanes, and easier to turn into, and also hotel lobby is larger and comfortable. Alana was disappointing in all of the above. Good thing bed was comfy otherwise a nightmare & daily newspaper available Otherwise, disappointed with hotel room A/C and overall A/C in hotel hallway outside of our door! None to speak of. Humid, slow elevators. Bathroom vanity on wrong side of bathroom sink, no where to put stuff. Shower not cleaned daily, NO tub to soak if wanted to. Didn't use pool but looked ok, didn't use gym either. Unlucky with computer, slow computer system, WIFI not working. Never could log-in to use(!)

Great Hotel!Posted Oct 13, 2014 on Hotels.com
We stayed there for one night to attend an Opera. Front desk was on point and treated us very well as this was our first time at this hotel. The room was wonderful and the beds were fantastic! Location is perfect, just in the beginning of Waikiki. A couple of blocks to the beach but well worth it! This may be the hotel we stay in from now on when in Waikiki
