Great Family Place
Posted Jan 17, 2013
Pros: Clean rooms, great staff, pool, and location
Location: The hotel had a very large shopping mall nearby, and beach was a skip away! PLENTY to see and do.
Arrived and stayed in a two room suite. Even though it was the sixth floor it was a clean, roomy comfortable room. Took a family of six, that included three six footer boys and a toddler with their parents and it had room to spare. With the included hot breakfast it was great! The staff were gracious and very accommodating. I would definitely stay there again! Couldn't beat the price!

Our Recent Stay at Embassy Suites
Posted Jan 11, 2013
Pros: Our room was spacious and clean with two balconies and a beach view. The staff were courteous. The hot breakfast in the morning was an added bonus.
Cons: The parking fee is expensive ($36/day). Consider differentiating your hotel from others by offering more attractive rates.
Location: Visited Waikiki Beach, drove to North Shore (stopped at Romys for seafood), the Polynesian Cultural Center (all day event), Pearl Harbor & Hanauma Bay
We had a very positive experience! Thank you vacationers and travellers for taking time to write reviews. The reviews helped us to select Embassy Suites out of all the hotels in Waikiki.

Hotel okay for people travelling with children
Posted Jan 9, 2013
Pros: Staff
Cons: Pool
Location: If problems walking not much close to hitel
Hotel was overall good, however pool was always full of children, although there was separate part for kids they were mainly in the main pool. The bar is open from 12 - 5 each day with managers meeting each night bar open from 5.30 - 7.30 with free drinks however you have to queue for roughly 1/2 hour to get drink. For someone with walking difficulties not really near much.

Lots of extras
Posted Jan 9, 2013
Pros: Free drinks daily 5.30 - 730!
Cons: Lots of kids!
Location: close to everything
Great position, service excellent, pool area very relaxing. Free drinks daily 5.30 - 7.30 which was a bonus! My only criticism is that the breakfast is served from 6.30am daily, every tour we went on picked us up at 6am so we missed out on breakfast most days.

Pros: Pool area, band and nightly drinks, beautiful dual outlook from ocean view room L8
Cons: Pesky birds chasing leftovers at breakfast time
Location: Quality location. Lots of good places to eat and shop. Beach 2 mins walk. $2 tram if too hot to walk 10 mins to best body boarding.
Loved the pool area, complete with free drinks every night and a great band four times a week. Happy staff.

Travelling with young kids? Here's your hotel!
Posted Jan 3, 2013
Pros: Friendly, knowledgeable staff. Buffet breakfast included. Suite rooms with kitchenette.
Cons: Pigeons in the breakfast area.
Location: Well situated on Waikiki Beach Walk, close enough to the action but not too close.
The first thing I have to say about Embassy Suites is that the hotel offers so much for a reasonable rate - buffet breakfast is included and the manager's reception offers complimentary drinks most evenings. But what really worked for us travelling with 2 young children was having a suite with a separate bedroom and kitchenette. No overpriced mini bar items clogging up the fridge, just space for all the essentials. Then add a microwave and a kitchen sink and you're good to go! Given the popularity of Waikiki with young families it's surprising there are not more hotels with this room configuration. After arriving in Honolulu at 8am on a Saturday morning after a 10 hour flight, we were hoping to check into a room early for a bit of recuperation. Unfortunately we couldn't check in immediately, but we were given breakfast vouchers. As soon as a suitable room became available (around 11am) we were given a room key and sent up to the 21st floor. The view from the balcony was stunning! We could see Kuhio beach straight ahead, and looking 90 degrees to the right we could see clean six-foot waves peeling on the ocean at the front of the hotel. With the excellent range of shops and eateries on Waikiki Beach Walk just below, the hotel is very well situated. The only thing I'd like to suggest to make the stay better would be regarding the pigeons that gather around the breakfast area in the morning. If they could be moved on somehow that would improve the breakfast experience.
