Over all great

Posted Jul 9, 2014
Over all it was a great stay here. The only down fall is that the hotel is a good walk to the bars and resturants.

Lovely boutique hotel

Posted Jun 30, 2014
Pros: Close to beach and all shops
Great hotel, at the end of Waikiki Beach. Close to everything. Pool and gym are at the Marriott across the road. Hotel staff are wonderful and you are made to feel welcome as soon as you walk in for the first time.

Boutique hotel within a block of the beach.

Posted Jun 29, 2014
Pros: Nice view of the beach from our room and nice in-room amenities. Big TV was a plus during down time.
Location: Waikiki is just down the block. The peak of Diamond Head was a brisk one-hour hike from our hotel room. Maybe 1.5 hours if you're not rushed.
We were looking for four reasonably affordable days on Waikiki. Hotel Renew was a great choice. We had access to the adjacent Marriott pool and exercise facility. And we were a city block from the beach with a nice view of the beach out the window. Recently updated rooms. Very helpful staff.

The hotel is close to the beach and the room was very clean. All the staff from front desk, housekeeping to valet were all very friendly and knowledgeable. I would definitely come back to stay next time!

Small hotel with limited on site facilities

Posted May 4, 2014
Pros: The staff, the wifi, reasonable restaurants and food places near to hand
Cons: Room lighting is poor; soundproofing needs work
Location: Tour bus stops almost outside; beach is close by; Honolulu Zoo is 2 minutes away; main shopping row is very close
The hotel is one block back from the beach. We stayed there for a week. The staff were great but the hotel is noisy from street noise and poor soundproofing. Lifts are slow and the rooms are quite dark. Wifi is good. The amenities charge at US$25 per day was unexpected and would not be good value if you didn't use the exercise facilities at the Marriott Hotel as part of your stay.

Awesome!

Posted Apr 27, 2014
Cons: Prices for drinks vastly overinflated. Check out room available for 1 hour later in the day.
Location: 50 feet from the beach. Less than a block form a major pickup/drop off spot for trollies/tour busses.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone who does not want children running around the pool (it doesn't have one in the building) and who are happy walking 1 block for the closest restaurant. The free breakfast was very tasty, but simple. The bar prices were inflated, but when the next closest one is less than a block away with an outdoor patio and live music, who cares. Hotel staff is friendly and helpful. Free towels and beach blankets too. Free aromatherapy in-suite, iced water in the lobby every day. Pineapple juice and cool lemongrass towels when you check in. Although they no longer offer a room to freshen up in before you leave on check out day, I would still rate this as the number 1 hotel for comfort, access to beach and customer service.

Cute boutique hotel 1 block from Waikiki Beach

Posted Apr 20, 2014
The hotel is small compared to the resorts surrounding it and the continental breakfast was sparse, but the the rooms were very modern, clean and the staff was incredibly friendly. And best of all, it was 1 block from the turquoise waters of Waikiki. For the price, you won't find anything better. We stayed 10 nights and felt right at home. We will definitely be back and highly recommend this hotel.

Boutique hotel with personable staff

Location: Great location - ABC store next door was handy; two doors down were Wolfgang Puck Express, Coldstone Creamery and Subway; less than a block away was t
Boutique hotel - modern and clean look is appealing; with 8 rooms per floor and 9 floors, I didn't have to walk for miles to get out the front door Personable staff - I was greeted with "Aloha" or "Welcome back" every time I walked through the lobby; the door was often held open for me by the bellman; the staff were happy to answer our many questions from topics ranging from buses to car rental; the maid stocked our room with lots of shampoo and soap without us having to ask Awesome gym - located in the Mariott Hotel, stocked with first-rate equipment, did not take long to walk to

Aston great value, friendly!

Posted Apr 6, 2014
Pros: Kind and Courteous staff, Location.
Cons: Expedia needs to do a better job in it's description of what are Amenity Fees vs Resort Fees!!! Continental Breakfast included in Resort Fee?
Location: Less than block from the beach, zoo, and near value priced restaurants. Run to Diamond Head, boogie boarding.
If you are looking for value the Aston Renue fills the bill. The staff is excellent and cater to their customers. The staff wants you to have the best experience possible. The rooms are small but clean and adequate. All rooms have small refrigerators and a very large 50 plus inch TV. Current released to videos are available, free. This is nice after a long day touring to be able to lay back and enjoy before going to sleep. The location is good, less than a block from the beach, zoo, and near value priced restaurants. The Tiki at the Waikiki Beach Aston has good music nightly, Wolfgang Puck's meals are a great value and taste great. The Pacific Beach Hotel is 2 blocks away you can dine in front of a large aquarium although it was pricey. If you are going on a tour, tour pickups are just steps away from the Aston Renew front door. If you need additional help an Expedia Help Center is at the sister hotel Waikiki Beach Aston.
