A little expensive for what is offersPosted Oct 8, 2013
Pros: Room and Location
Cons: Extra charges policy. I wanted to pay in cash not on my credit card. They charged me wrong on my hotel checkout and ended up charging on my creditcard
Location: Good Location
The room and location are good but hotel charges for everything else you do. To many extra charges. Hotel's price should include most services or at least be more clear about it.

Hawaii VacationPosted Sep 28, 2013
Pros: The Hotel's location and look was just magical
Cons: The lobby could use some more comfortable chairs and a Television for guest who are waiting to leave and/or check in
Location: Wow! where do I start. The hotel is located on the beach and near all the shopping stores, best in the world.
I love the Hotel and it's location. Our initial room's balcony was under construction and very noisy as well as vibrating. However, staff was very accomodating and moved us to a much nicer room. The staff, espaecially, the front desk ladies and cleaning ladies were outstanding. I can't wait until next year when I return.

Decent hotel near beachPosted Sep 22, 2013
Pros: Location - the beach is just a short walk in front.
Cons: The decor/colours. Looks like 60s or 70s carpeting! Think the waterfall is redundant; waste of space and water - just creates unnecessary noise.
Location: Lots of stores nearby, accessible to the trolley buses and the TheBus. If you want the beach nearby, it's good. This is also a good pickup for tours
It's not a bad hotel but very expensive because despite all the so-called amenities, you still have to tip (pay) for them. If you don't mind, it's ok. If you want to save, go and stay in an apartment a block away and buy the stuff at an ABC store. My main issues were that I kept trying to ask housekeeping about getting some amenities and didn't get them. I realised that since I had to tip anyway, I was also paying for the amenities (even though the money went to housekeeping). In addition, I asked for a Rainbow Tower room but they didn't have any and someone at reception told me that he could arrange for it if I was willing to change rooms after 2 days. However after 2 days, I was told that they didn't have any record of the request and so there were no rooms. I think that they hotel is run down; needs an update. The room decor was bland but spacious (compared to a 3.5 star I stayed in Maui which was a lot bigger, brighter and amazing) but then again, this is Waikiki and everything costs a lot. If you truly want 5 star, pick the Hilton! On the day I left, they asked if I needed luggage service, and then told me that none was available before 7 (I had an early checkout) so I didn't mind too much. I dragged my two luggages downstairs and waited for the shuttle. Unfortunately I left them to go to the toilets, came back and a porter had taken them so I had to tip him for dragging it to the shuttle even thought the shuttle guy was there to do it!

Old hotel in need of renovation.Posted Sep 15, 2013
Pros: Not much. Location is central for shopping and restaurants, etc.
Cons: Staff attitude.
Paid for an ocean view room but it turned out to be nothing more than partial view. We asked for a better room on a higher level but was told that we were in the correct category. Room cleaning was very poor - lots of dust found throughout. Tiny bathroom with broken tiles. Poor shower.

Nice locationPosted Sep 12, 2013 on Hotels.com
We stayed at this hotel for its reputation, but mostly for its location. It is across the street from Waikiki Beach, and is right in the middle of the shopping district. The only thing about the room that annoyed us was the musty "old" smell. There was also construction scaffolding erected at both entrances. If you have a rental car and self-park at their garage, be very careful! It is very tight to maneuver around oncoming vehicles, and the parking spaces are very tight. Use the valet if you don't want to risk it.
