Very nice roomPosted May 6, 2015
Pros: Room with kitchen. Nice to be able to cook, store leftovers or reheat leftovers.
Cons: Fix equipment in fitness center. Spray for bugs. ATM machine was very slow outside of restaurant. It took a while to dispense cash.
Location: Everything within walking distance of mall and restaurants.
We enjoyed the suite with full kitchen. Kitchen could have been cleaned better. We also had a problem with a big bug. Not sure what it was?? Since it was only one, we did not complain. When we used fitness center, some of the equipment was not working. Treadmill, bike and elliptical machines were not working?? Very disappointing so we did not try to go back. We ate at outdoor café and food was delicious!! Birds were a little annoying but bearable. Any time we visited front desk, Patrice was very nice and informative. Always smiling and very happy. Thanks Patrice. :-) Next time we will get room with ocean view. Mountain view was nice but ocean view was fantastic!! Mahalo!!

Great Waikiki location.Posted May 5, 2015
Pros: Location, staffand amenities. There was even a convenience store in the hotel.
Cons: Our room was clean and comfortable but in need of some sprucing up.
Location: You can walk to everything in Waikiki, including the zoo. Great views everywhere.
Hotel is at one end of the board walk that goes around the Hilton Hawaiian Village lagoon and down the beach past several hotels. It provides an easy walking area for people with mobility issues and allows access to the beach at several locations. The lagoon was perfect for my Mom to be able to swim in the ocean without assistance.

Hawaii at it's finest-highly recommend.Posted Apr 22, 2015
Pros: Location location location. This is the Hawaii I remember from 39 years ago. Wiakiki Beach area has gone too commercial.
Cons: The Pool restrooms only has one stall, a nice large shower but no private area for changing. Curtains or drapery to close off the change area.
Location: Great location, walking distance to Wiakiki Beach, Ala Moana Shopping Center. Lots of food and little shops along the way.
This is what Hawaii is supposed to be. Nesteled in the marina area with the lagoon and beautiful ocean scenery. This is refined, not the HOT spot on Wiakiki--we were looking for the quiet area with shopping and other services in walking distance. The hotel offered wonderful food, beautiful property, a warm and comforting environment for all ages. They are doing renavation but it did not all affect our experience. The Illikai is a landmark that has been there for over 30 years and is still in it's splendor. Consierage services available at your finger tips. Pool area near the ocean surrounded by palm trees make sit very relaxing. A must stay in the future.

Great locationPosted Apr 10, 2015
Pros: Bell staff is very helpful.
Cons: There is an escalator that you can use to transport your luggage from street level to the hotel reception, but it does not have very good signage.
Location: Location is great. You are close to fine restaurants, chain restaurants and fast food. Car rental is across the street. Hop on trolley and city bus
The newly renovated rooms are very nice - spacious with a modern look. The location is great, you are a 5 minute walk to the back and about 10 minute walk to Ala Moana mall.

Close to beach BUTPosted Apr 7, 2015
Cons: Rooms and furniture, swimming pool
The room was old, carpet was stained, sofa bed was terrible and no bathtub. Swimming pool is closed at 7:30 and not very many lounge chairs. Looks like a lot of permanent residents take up a lot of the chairs most days so not much left for hotel guests.
