Quite side of island. Perfect resort feel.Posted Oct 16, 2013
Pros: The hotel was very well kept and comfortable. You could walk outside your room and be right at the pool or lagoon.
Cons: Not much.
Location: Location is about 30min from Wakiki but about an hour in traffic. Away from tourist areas but everything is accessible by car.
Perfect resort for families, couples, friends. Quite side of island and away from tourist groups. Close to shops and markets (Costco, Walmart.) Hotel staff very friendly.

Nice Hotel on the Leeward Side of OahuPosted Sep 27, 2013
Pros: The hotel grounds and building are attractive and well maintained. Rooms are equally attractive, clean, and comfortable. The water slide was fun.
Cons: I especially dislike charges for required valet parking. The food fare while acceptable in quality was uninspired and lacking in local variety.
Location: There simply is not much to do in the immediate area once off the hotel grounds.without driving to the windward side or the north shore of the island.
This trip was not a typical trip for us. We normally prefer to arrange for vacation rentals in a condo or other small, private facility. Our experience here has not change our minds. The area around this resort does not offer much in dining so we were pretty much a captive audience in the resort area. The food was acceptable but disappointing in that there was little to no traditional Hawaiian dishes offered. Prices were IMO exorbitant. I also do not appreciate being forced to pay for services I do not want, ie. car valet service. The daily charge was high and of course the tips add up when the car is used and parked multiple times daily. On the plus side the resort is beautiful, well maintained, and the staff consistently friendly, It is located next to man-made lagoons that provide for calm waters for weaker swimmers and families.

Excellent resort!Posted Sep 2, 2013
Pros: Location, grounds, staff, room size, very clean
Cons: Parking fee for rental car is $30. per day
Location: Great beaches at the resort but also within 40 min-1 hour of all other areas of the island.
My family and I loved this resort. We stayed in a 2 bedroom with a full kitchen and laundry. Our room had plenty of space for 6 of us and the staff was amazing. The lagoons and pools are perfect for families of all ages. We were able to snorkel and saw many fish and a large turtle. The location is away from Waikiki and very calm. Renting a car makes it easy to get all around the island.

We'll Be Going Back For Sure!Posted Sep 1, 2013
Pros: Great Pools (with bars), staff, restaurants, activities, views, rooms, you name it.
Cons: The first "ocean view" room we had, couldn't see past the pool, trees and back of the adjacent building. We were quickly moved though.
Location: 25 minutes from Honolulu. Great dining right across the street. EZ ocean access. Golf course (next time).
This was our first trip to the islands with my 4 year old daughter. My wife and I honeymooned on the north shore of Oahu about 9 years ago and then went to Maui about 5 years ago. Both times, we did "adult" type trips. But this time we needed a resort that would cater to kids, but hopefully would still be good for some adult activities as well. We couldn't have done better than Marriott's Ko Olina Beach Club. They had countless activities for my daughter including hula lessons, swimming with a mermaid, flower lei making, and three great pools with plenty of shallow areas for her since her swimming skills are still developing. I should mention they also had a bunch of activities that my wife and I took part in including hula, Tahitian dancing, water aerobics and an awesome ukulele class. The menus at the restaurants all had stuff for kids while also having some pretty good selections for adults. And the staff was absolutely awesome, never failing to greet us and all willing to drop what they were doing when we asked for assistance of any kind. Having a kitchen in the room was nice as it allowed us to dine in a bit. The little market on property had everything you could want, though they were also right across the street from an ABC Store and some nice casual dining restaurants. The lagoon right in front of the property was great for swimming since it's mostly protected and there are no waves to speak of. Just an awesome trip all around.

For the price we paid it was wayyyyy overpriced!Posted Aug 22, 2013
Pros: The cleanliness
Cons: The concierge staff. We were told to take numbers and reserve activities ourselves.
Location: Monkey pod has the best food and staff. Also the "corner pizza" has amazing pizza and great staff as well!
The rooms were always clean. The beds were terribly uncomfortable. There was a very strong and odd odour in our first room which was the one bedroom villa. Beautiful place ko'olina but the marriot did not live up to my expectations. Would never stay here again.
