“Best location on Waikiki!!”

We just got home and truly enjoyed our stay. The location is very convienent, beach bar is outstanding (Marnie and Cheryl are awesome like always). We had our 3 1/2 year old and he had such a great time on the beach and in the pool. All the staff went out of their way to make him feel welcome. We will stay there again some day....

“Nice for couples and first timers to Waikiki”

Had a nice experience, the staff is always cordial and it is in an excellent location. A little disappointed that the breakfast menu online is very different than what is actually there. The yoga class with Max was great and the gym is clean, cool view, and has adequate equipment since my husband and I enjoy working out and I'm a yogi/triathalete and the running map was very helpful too. I forgot how many weddings this property has/day, up to 10, so it is nice that there is a side entrance to avoid being in wedding photos or feel like I'm intruding or having to wait to get an opportunity to exit. And trying to get your car in/out of valet can be challenging on the weekend nights with pedestrians not showing much courtesy. I think the valet should be free and included in the $20 resort fee that is charged daily, $8/day and then tipping on top of that gets expensive. But we will come back again, we like the Moana Surfrider, this is our 2nd stay here.

“The Queen for a good reason”

I loved this place, from a few laps in the pool in the morning, to a walking around downtown, to an aftrernoon swim in the ocean with inner tubes and finally a mai tai and steamed edamame at the beach bar, It was paradise, all day, every day.

“Hotel experience”

Beautiful Hotel, staff was very friendly and helpful. We requested information/help on getting Easter baskets for our girls as we arrived Easter morning. The concierge was able to send us information on flower shops and gift baskets. We were able to order and have the baskets delivered. The baskets were in our room when we got there and our girls were so excited the Easter bunny found them in Hawaii. When we originally booked our trip there was a special that with each paying adult children (i believe) 12 and under were able to eat free. This was one of the reasons why we choose the Moana Surfrider. This was not the case when we checked in, the policy changed. I under stand that policys do change but if you made the reservation prior to change then it should be honored. So needleed to say we only ate one meal at the Moana. So be sure to check on any specials that were offered when booking and your arrival, they might have changed. But all in all we give it a 5!

“Very good service and convenient location.”

The service they provide at this hotel was great. In addition, their location makes it easy to go shopping and go to the beach.

“I love the Moana!”

Fantastic hotel! First - Location, Location, Location: unlike most other hotels in Waikiki, the Moana is actually *on* the beach, which makes it very convenient. The breakfast buffet is great, the staff are very friendly and helpful, and the pool is nice. (I didn't spend much time in the pool, given that the Pacific Ocean is just a few footsteps away). I loved the fact that I could reserve a beach umbrella, go swimming, and order food and beverages. I can keep going on and on about the positives, but I should state the downsides too: (1) There is no parking at the Moana per se. Instead, one has to park at the Princess Kaiulani, which is across the road from the Moana. A slight inconvenience. (2) The walls are very thin and one can hear everything from neighboring rooms, which is awkward.

“Perfect beach hotel!”

We loved this hotel! Great location on Wakiki beach. Surfing, paddle boarding and body surfing steps from the hotel. The pictures online are accurate of the hotel. The hotel decor has a wonderful plantation feel under one of the largest Banyan trees. We will be back!
