The hotel was close enough to beach to walk. Great location for shopping and dining. Not much in the way of first impressions because the lobby is very small and spare in decor. We requested and got a 9:00 check-in and the front desk was helpful with transportation and shuttle buses. The elevator was slow.

Great hotel handy to all amenities.Posted Oct 21, 2013
Pros: As mentioned above.
Cons: As far as we are concerned we were quite satisfied.
Location: Please note, all going well we intend to return next year.
We booked a one bedroom kitchenette room and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Our stay was for 15 days. We occasionally shopped for items and cooked light meals as a change to eating out. The bus stops to all our destinations were virtually right outside our door and when wishing to travel to the Ala Moana Shopping Centre the free Pink trolley depot was right next door in the DFS Galleria building. The IHop restaurant attached to the hotel serves up really good food and we also ate there from time to time. An added bonus is the fact that ABC has a store across the road from the Hotel where you can buy incidentals like water, coke, beer, wine etc as and when required. We can highly recommend staying at the Ohana Waikiki Malia. The staff are excellent and very helpful.

Aloha & Mahalo for your five star review! It is nice to read how you found our kitchenette unit handy for cooking during your 15 day stay. We have a fantastic location as you mentioned with bus stops and trolley stops so conveniently located right outside our door. IHOP is our in house restaurant and always receives positive feedback such as yours. The convenience of the ABC store is something our guests and employees all take advantage of. We greatly appreciate your comment regarding our staff as it is our goal to spread the Aloha Spirit to all we come into contact with. Mahalo again for such a positive review! Good location and friendly staffPosted Sep 4, 2013 on Hotels.com
Loved the location of this hotel. No need to rent a car. Bus stop and trolley stop are right outside the hotel. Housekeeping staff did an excellent job. Tour agent in the lobby is super helpful. Pool is very small, but who needs the pool when you are 5 minutes away from Waikiki beach. It can be a bit noisy during weekends (even at 3am). Must try the Japanese udon place (5 minutes walk on Kuhio St.) Highly recommended.

Aloha and Mahalo for your five star review! Thank you first of all for your positive comments regarding our housekeeping staff and tour agent in the lobby. It is very rewarding to read and pass on to our employees. Yes, our pool is small but we were limited in the amount of space in which to build one. You are right, though when you say we are only 5 minutes away from beautiful Waikiki beach. Please accept our apology in regards to the noise factor on the weekends. We are working with all involved to monitor that closer. Again, thank you for your feedback. Mahalo, Nora Weatherwax General Manager

Great locationPosted Sep 1, 2013 on Hotels.com
Loved this hotel, great location, great sports bar with very friendly staff. Only disappointment was the small balcony and lack of sun around the pool. Having said that would stay at this hotel again. Had a great holiday..

20+ story Motel 6Posted Aug 27, 2013
This property is no where near a 3 rating or higher. We had a suite with a bedroom which was more room than some places but the fixtures, paint etc. had rust stains and were old. The tub was 3 feet long. The door to the room was via an open area not a enclosed hotel hallway. The parking driveways were marginally larger than my car and this one lane access actual has 2 way traffic. they made all four of the guest show ID. The lobby was like checking into a low end international hotel. Overall we were far better off at the Queen Kaploanee (sp?) the next night

Good location, friendly staffPosted Aug 19, 2013
I enjoyed my stay here. The rooms were clean and the staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. When we needed a last-minute room change due to an extra person joining our party, they were really helpful even though the hotel was fully booked. They got us a new room as soon as they could and moved all our stuff for us. It isn't an overly fancy hotel, but it had all the basics, was clean and well kept, and the price is good for the location.

parking nightmarePosted Aug 6, 2013 on Hotels.com
Everything was good except for finding the entrance to the parking garage, and finding out there was a $25 a night charge for parking! I don't understand why the hotel doesn't comp the parking fee for their hotel guests. Your clients should be made aware of hidden charges before hand instead of after the fact!

very comfortable, was very nice that they gave us a hospitality room to get ready for our flight home.
