“We will most certainly be back”
I loved it, the workers were very friendly and anytime we had any questions they answered us as best they could. The one problem we had was wanting to go to a place that had really good lobster, and even though it meant going to another hotel to eat, that night, they told us were they liked, and it was great. The staff there was very friendly and treated us as family, not just money to line there pockets. I will be going again next year and pan to stay at the same hotel.
“First time to Hawaii”
It was a nice hotel, the employees were very helpful and the room was nice with a great view or and oven view room the bed was a pretty hard though
“Like it very much.”
I really like the hotel, the colorful carpet and it's location. The lobby reminded me of a hotel in Vegas strip. Will stay there again when I go to Hawaii in the future and definitely will refer friends to stay at this hotel.
“Beautiful view”
We treated ourselves to an oceanfront room. The balcony was private on both sides, couldn't see anyone but had a fantastic view of the ocean. Relaxing to sit outside and enjoy. Enjoyed our daily breakfast at the Oceanarium Restaurant. Good enough variety and good and friendly service. Plenty of fresh fruits. This trip made our wedding anniversary that much more special. Also enjoyed the BBQ at the cafe. We both look forward to coming back again soon
“pacific beach is the best !”
we've stayed here before, and it's the same as before-clean,comfortable,and steps from waikiki beach ! housekeeping is the best, especially Take who took such good care of us! my only complaint was of the sink in the bathroom, which drained very slowly. but we were always out and forgot to call about it, so it was all good !! we had such a lovely time, loooove hawaii and pacific beach.
“Not impressed”
Old hotel, needs to be updated. Rooms shows the wear and tear. Air conditioner vents need to be cleaned, it was full of dust. Beds for sure need some changing, as well as the pillows, had neck and back pain in the morning. Elevators are slow and old. Now as for the surrounding neighborhood, let's just say on the corner in public view during day hours there are panhandlers with signs that say, "needs $ for pot/marijuana", so if you have kids you may not want to subject them to this, and also there are prostitutes right there working. The rest of the neighborhood has high end stores, pretty nice, if not for the weirdos, smoking dope right there in front of the Mcdonalds.
“it was ok”
We stayed at Pacific Beach Hotel for our honeymoon. We ordered a partial ocean view. When we arrived, at check-in the clerk told us that since we were on our honeymoon the upgraded us to an ocean view room at no charge. Which was nice. When we got to our room it was not a ocean view or a partial ocean view, but a car parking view. Also on the AC unit it had black mold growing on the side of it. I know, right?! When my husband went to the front desk and spoke with the manager she said that "if you guys are not happy you can either deal with it or leave." Which was kind of upsetting. In the morning we went to the front desk again and they were kind enough and found us a room. Which we were very thankful for. And that did make our experience there a lot more enjoyable. The hotel has a very delicious buffet. Kind of pricey but the food is good. The location of the hotel is great. Right on the main street next to the shops and the beach near by. So over all the stay at P.B.H was not to impressive, but it was alright. Not to good and not to bad.
“Great Waikiki location!”
The best reason to stay at the Pacific Beach Hotel is location, location, location! It is literally right across the street from the beach! It offers a number of gift and clothing shops on premises, and the hotel staff are generally very nice. Room size is fine and the ocean view and ocean front rooms are worth the price. The buffet has been better in previous years but is good, and you are not rushed. Beds are comfortable but not modern. All in all, it is a moderately priced hotel so you get what you pay for but it has a lot of charm. We like it enough to return for a night or two every year on our way to outer islands.
“Not impressed at all....”
Just very old and stale....
“Hawaii 5-0”
The location of this hotel was VERY convenient, but the hotel needs a little work. The entrance into the elevators on the first floor were in terrible shape, and this did not make a very good first impression. The bed sheets also had a stain. The view was amazing, and the staff was very hospitable. I would come back to stay. . .as long as we had some clean sheets.
