Close to everything Hotel.

Posted Oct 16, 2014
Pros: Close to everything.
Cons: Just add the room fee up front when you make your reservations. Put it in the price and be done with it.
Location: Beach is right across the street out the front door. Zoo is close and shopping is everywhere. Buses are close also.
Got off the elevators and the beach is right across the street. More shopping and restaurants up and down Kalahuau than you can imagine. As for the hotel the room was clean with a very comfortable bed. Didn't use much of it other then a couple of their stores. The fridge, ice machines and water came in use a lot. Not a fancy hotel but your outside most of the time anyways.

The hotel has a prime location being right across the beach but boy does it need a make over. Everything is very outdated. The rooms need to be renovated. With how an extra 20 bucks they charge you per day they should put that money into fixing up the place. The bed was comfy though, I'll give them that. But just furniture and decor need a big update. Place should be more hip with being right on the beach like it is. And the additional fee for parking they charge is a rip off too.

Across from Waikiki Beach

Not much flexibility with our early arrival but very helpful staff otherwise. Good sized room and lots of amenities. Immense indoor aquarium is a small wonder.

Steps to the beach

Posted Oct 14, 2014
Pros: Steps to the beach
Cons: Room cleanliness
Location: Starbucks Duke's McDonald's Catholic Church
A great location, just walk across the street and you are on the beach. The room had water stains on the ceiling, the carpet was wet, there was hair in the bathtub. The street noise is quite loud, a lot of delivery trucks! The front desk was friendly and helpful. Even though the room was not what I had expected, nothing can ruin a vacation on the beach! The Aloha Cafe is a perfect stop for breakfast on the run and there is an ABC store just off the lobby.

Great location. Utilitarian decor.

Cons: Room decor
Staff were good and efficient. Hotel amenities were all there and location great. It just doesn't have a lot of ambience in the rooms. But they are a good size, very clean, ac good , bedding and towels were good. Loved the location to get the most of downtown Waikiki.

perfect location

Posted Oct 9, 2014
Pros: Location was perfect for me.
Cons: Elevator's
Location: This is located over the 24Hour Fitness which I am a member of, so was able to use the equipment to breakup all the ocean time that I did.
I was pleasntly surprised when I walked into my room on the 34th floor. I asked for partial ocean view and when I looked out of my window was looking at the Royal Hawaiian Hotel's beach and part of the beautiful pink hotel. My room was comfortable and well kept with even toothbrush and paste. As for eating at the Hotel, the restarunt has a fantastic aquarium to view while you enjoy your meal. The only issue is in the mornings around 9:00 am the elevators can be slow because everyone is leaving for a day of touring.
