Awesome hotel!!!

Posted Aug 21, 2014
This hotel is great for anyone! Even the locals come to this hotel. We stayed for a week and loved it. You are close to the beach and all the shopping in waikiki. They have a great buffet and awesome oceanarium inside the hotel lobby.

Across waikiki beach

Posted Aug 21, 2014
The location is perfect. Across the beach, it's great . Also close to restaurants, shopping, you can go anywhere from here. You are on the Main Street in waikiki beach, where everything's happening . Hotel needs to be remodeled. That's the only thing I didn't like. If you don't mind a bit outdated and in need of remodeling you will like it here. I will return.

August in Paradise

Posted Aug 21, 2014
Pros: staff
Cons: Update washers/dryers, and decor in the rooms and lobby.
Enjoyed our stay: helpful staff, clean common areas and rooms, clean pool area. Hotel across from Maui Beach which had surfing, snorkeling, swimming, running along the path, shopping, dining. Nice pool area, Oceanarium restaurant was nice, costly per person. The blue water pouches provided to fill with water during our stay were helpful to have water for our excursions. Enjoyed eating at Farmers Market at the Hotel curbside. Very close to shopping centers. Very close to the Zoo, Aquarium and beach walking trails. Many restaurants within walking distance. Staff helpful in giving tips on how to get to locations or excursions. Overall we would stay at Pacific Beach Hotel again.

Hidden fees

Posted Aug 20, 2014
I really hate it when there are hidden fees, and this one had them. Charged us for wifi. Really petty. This should be included for one and if it is not something you can opt out of, then include it from the beginning.

Older but acceptable hotel on Waikiki beach

Posted Aug 17, 2014
Pros: Friendly housekeeping staff, very very good cafe with excellent staff.
Cons: The hotels restaurant is overrated and needs some significant improvements. The elevator service needs improvement, rooms in need of major"facelift"
Location: Beach, beach and more beach. Nice walking distance to all you can do on Waikiki Beach
We selected this hotel and location for our 18 year wedding anniversary. The hotel is older and if you are looking closer in to the details it clearly shows. Rooms are "so so" fully acceptable though, pending that you know what you get, beds are comfortable and newer. The housekeeping staff is brilliant and will do whatever they can to make your stay pleasant. Are we disappointed? Well somewhat,,, but you know that you will be next to very busy streets, across the street from one of the most busy beach in the world. The restaurant is well overrated but there is a very good side street cafe just outside the hotel on the side street, open from 6AM to 7PM, very good coffee and pastry and breakfast plates. We wish you could get a cup of coffee during the late evening hours as well,,,,, The hotel pool (1) is very small and have only sun for a few hours in the afternoon, actual not worth visiting. So, yes we will not come back to this location, we ail however for sure come back to Hawaii, the Hawaiians are something special indeed. Beside from the hotel as our visit to Hawaii very special and memorable!

Pros: Its close proximity to everything in Waikiki.
The hotel was unable to put us in our requested no-smoking room the first night so they (uograded?) moved us to the Penthouse suites (38th floor) after the first night at no extra charge.

Good hotel on Waikiki beach

Posted Aug 16, 2014
Pros: The ocean view was spectacular. And the location right by Waikiki beach is what you're paying for.
Cons: The pool left much to be desired. It was a very small lap pool. It was not meant for families to take a break from the beach.
Location: The location is great. The beach is across the street. There is lots of shopping near by.
They put us in a room by the elevator. My wife complained about the noise, so they moved us to a different room. In compensation, they gave us two free buffet tickets, which was a nice gesture. The room itself was pretty good. The bathroom fixtures were old but functional. We had a great ocean view.

Hotel was easy access to beach.

Posted Aug 14, 2014
Pros: The most attraction was aquarium when we walk in. It's so beatiful seeing a gigantic tank with a swimming mermaid while people dinning.
Cons: The elevations need improvment. The noise is too loud at nite.
Location: The hotel was close to the beach and plenty of restaurants near by. The Honolulu zoo was two blocks away and 20 minutes away from Diamond Head hiking.
We stay in Pacific Beach Hotel for 4 nites and 5 days for our vacation with my husband plus my two kids. We are please with their services. We was able to check in early thank god and they also upgrade our room from double to queen beds with partial ocean view. The people there are friendly and very helpful. The services are quick and hotel provide plenty of beach towel available.

Most convenient location

Posted Aug 14, 2014
Pros: Convenient location
Cons: Self guest parking
Location: Waikiki beach is across the street from the front door. Honolulu Aquarium. All the fashion designers' stores
The hotel is located in the heart of Waikiki but on the quieter side. We rented a car and the self guest parking is limited. The staff also used the stalls designated for self guest parking. The hotel staff is attentive and friendly. My kids like watching the divers at the Oceanarium restaurant. The dinner buffet at the restaurant had a variety of food to choose from, sushi, prime rib and plenty of desserts..
