Decent hotel near Wikiki

Average rooms for the price near the area. Everything is extra (i.e. parking, access to roomsafe, etc...)

Loved that the hotel was close to everything

Posted Sep 13, 2014
Overall experience was quite satisfactory. Staff were welcoming, warm and friendly. Great place for cheap accommodation that is within 5 - 10 mins walking distance to: Walmart, Don Quiote convenience store, Dress for Less clothing store and the mighty Alamoana Mall. Also the walk through the Alamoana Mall brings you to the ocean side where you can hop on to a scenic bus tour. All of the above, I highly recommend to anyone visiting Honolulu. It was my sister and I, our first time to Hawaii on a stop over to New Zealand for one day and we certainly got to do and see a lot in such a short time, finishing the day relaxing at Wakiki Beach.

Neglected hotel in good location

Posted Sep 3, 2014
Pros: Close to mall and restaurants.
Cons: The key system for the doors. Internet ( wi-fi ) should be included!
Location: Close to Ala Moana mall. Ala Moana Park and the ocean. One half mile from Waikiki.
Hotel staff is friendly yet building is in need of complete remodel. I had to make several trips to the desk to get my key to work!

Very convenient for shopping

Posted Sep 1, 2014
Pros: Conveniently located to shopping centers and the pond with beautiful colored carps swimming in the pond.
Cons: Room cleaning maids should at least clean coffee cups and the pot and not only make the beds and empty waste paper baskets and change clean towels.
Location: See above comments for shopping convenience.
We could shop at walking distance to Wal Mart.Sam's club Don Quiote and even the main shopping center of Hawaii, the Ala Moana shopping center of Honolulu.Pagoda Hotel is very conveniently located with beautiful large colored Carps in tne pond surrounding the restaurant.

Pros: The are was very prime. The rooms were very nice and clean and prepped with everything two people would need to do all the cooking they intended doing
Cons: The beds were comfy, but I had a problem with the fitted sheets not being "fitted." I prefer to sleep on sheets, not a bare mattress because they move
Location: Ala Moana shopping center is a 10 minute walk, and they have every store you could want. The beach is two minutes past that.
My boyfriend and I came to Hawaii for both a vacation, and for a Spartan mud run. We weren't looking to spend a fortune there, which is why we chose the Pagoda Hotel. Their rates could not be beat, especially being as close as they were to everything (excellent restaurants, Ala Moana shopping center and the beach all are within minutes of the hotel). We also wanted the option to be able to cook breakfasts for ourselves throughout the week, as we needed to be well fed rather early for our run, and the room that we got with the kitchenette was perfect for what we needed.

Close to Ala Moana shopping centre

Posted Aug 24, 2014
Cons: Decor definitely
Location: Wallmart 24 hrs thank goodness for this and Ala Moana shopping centre
It was ok very cheap accommodation. the check in guy was not very accommodating and didnt share any info about any specials so we had no wifi for first 3 days until I read somewhere about the extra $10 fee we can pay to have dvd and internet. Very disppointing that the trolley shuttle as advertised was not yet running considering hotel was 5 mins drive from waikiki. Spent a lot of extra money on getting into waikiki so not happy about that. Facilities were poor very old but while there they were refurbish7ng. Due to locality I would not be staying there again as too far from main drag of Waikiki.

Pros: The room was clean but lacked ammenities that goe with kitchenette.
Cons: this is the second time staying there that there is no utensils.the first time they couldnt provide it.I believe the rates should be lower.
Location: like staying there because it is convient to go shopping around ala moana and surrounding area.
rented room with kitchenette and no pots, pan, limited utensils.disposal not working,No Hot water during day!!!! could not take a tub bath because no provisions,Was not notified that pool could not use because of construction work! rates for rental should have been lower.
