Great location & action

Across the street from the beach & Honolulu Zoo; at end of Waikiki Beach strip; 20-30 minute walk to Diamond Head.

Great views, but room is on a small size. Unless you have to, there are many other hotels with half the price and better bargain....

Good and nice view

Posted Mar 31, 2015
Pros: Nice view
Location: Walk distance to shopping mall, close to the beach
We upgraded our room to ocean front view with the view of diamond head. The view are nice since it is at the end of the street. It is kind of noisy sometime because it is close to the street. In general, a nice, clean hotel,

great location and amenities, room a bit small

Posted Mar 27, 2015
Pros: location, lobby, amenities, car rental service
Cons: difficult to make rooms larger, so IDK, but maybe cleaner?
Location: see above
We spent 5 nights at this little Waikiki gem. The location is great--across the street from the beach and at the far end of the "strip" (so a little quieter than some locations), plus right next to the Honolulu Zoo and Diamond Head. I loved the nice, airy lobby with free daily coffee, juice and water. I also liked that they provide beach towels and beach chairs to all guests ever day. In addition, there is a convenient car rental service at the hotel, with valet parking included. [We enjoyed a Volvo convertible for 2 days.] Some of the staff are friendlier than others, but all seemed helpful. The only things that I did not like were that our room was quite small (so my daughter and I felt crowded most of the time, with little room to walk around our luggage), and the bathroom was not super clean. We were, however, provided with plenty of toiletries and towels every day and could get our beds made, if we wanted to. We did not spend a lot of time in the room anyway, since we were out at the beach and/or driving around the island. We did not watch one minute of TV while there, so I don't even know if it worked!

Ocean view rooms were good. The rooms on the back side of the hotel look straight at another hotel- don't get one of these. Other than that the stay was great.

Comfortable hotel close to the tennis courts

Posted Mar 25, 2015
Love this hotel because of its proximity to the tennis courts, the park, the Ala Wai golf course and the beach. My husband and I played tennis every morning and every night we sat on our lanai, enjoying the view and the tropical breezes. I did lots of walking around the park and along the Ala Wai canal. My husband went golfing twice at the nearby course. We spent a couple of hours each afternoon at Kuhio Beach which is just across the street from the hotel and is somewhat quieter than the main Waikiki Beach. We had a wonderful view of Diamond Head, the park and the ocean from our ocean view room. There are lots of restaurants and convenience stores close to the hotel. Safeway is about a 25 minute walk from the hotel. We really appreciated the free Wi-fi in our room as we were able to keep track of our local junior hockey team in their playoff run back home. We had a very relaxing and enjoyable holiday at the Park Shore and we will definitely be returning to this hotel again.

Great place to stay!

Posted Mar 19, 2015
Pros: Location, the people, the free shuttle, the Starbucks, felt relaxing.
Cons: A little more frequency in the shuttles.
Location: Beach, restaurants, the zoo, busses and shuttle to other hotels, shopping. Expedia tour desk.
This hotel has a great location, across fro the zoo. Right by buses, but also has its own shuttle to other Aqua hotels and to Ala Moana mall. Has a Starbucks, ABC store, close to restaurants. Excellent views, nice folks, liked the feel and comfort of the hotel.
