Just what we needed!Posted Feb 24, 2014
Pros: Location, location, location.
Cons: Fix the squeeky toilet. Every three minutes it would have a quite irritating squeel. Hense the unfortunate rating of 4 on Room Comfort.
Location: 1 minute stroll to the beach, 30 second stroll to the zoo, food and entertainment everywhere you look. Short bus ride to Alamoana and Shopping Center.
Upon arrival, Bellmen and Valet' were extremely polite and willing to help. Checking in was a breeze at the front desk. Also found out that our room had been upgraded to a Junior Suite which was on the top floor with an amazing deck overlooking Diamond Head/Waikiki Beach/Ocean View. The rooms were kept clean during our weekend stay and checkout was simple and quick as well.
Well-priced, but very dated and musty .Posted Feb 15, 2014
Rooms are not much different than you would find at a roadside motel. Old, window air conditioner is very noisy. Badly in need of refurbishment and updating throughout. Pretty much at the end of Waikiki. Only very price-sensitive travelers should consider this hotel.

Excellent Waikiki locationPosted Feb 10, 2014
Pros: - Bar near pool - Location - Balcony
Cons: - A/C was old and very noisy, - Carpet was stained - Out-dated room - Pool was too cold, however exceptionally cold period for Hawaii.
Location: Beach, restaurants, zoo, car park, malls, walks
Expensive, however we had an amazing view of Diamond Head. This was ideal to relax with a drink on the balcony. The pool was almost unsuitable, mainly due to the cold period Hawaii experienced. Very few pools here are heated. It made us look for the next hotel with a hot tub. Not that this is any fault to this hotel. I found that the pool closed too early. A/C was very loud, although its common to wear ear plugs in these sort of environments due to the street noise.

Excellent customer servicePosted Feb 9, 2014
Pros: Valet parking, listening to the birds at the zoo next door, and close to beach.
We stayed at the QKH in January of this year. We had upgraded our reservation to a Diamond Head View room with a King size bed. We arrived shortly after midnight and checked into our room, only realize it was a room with a Diamond Head view but with 2 double beds. We contacted the front desk and was told that they could not move us to our upgraded room until the next day. They make good on their word. The next day we moved to room 1402. Really great room with excellent view of Diamond Head, city lights, next door to zoo, and a partial ocean view. Three employees in particular stand out for their outstanding customer service. Shane met us each day with a warm smile and a friendly face. I am disabled and in a wheelchair and he was always more than willing to help me with my accommodations in and out of our car. Jocelyn was always so friendly and helpful and the front desk. Finally, I did not get his name, and I'm sorry for that, your head maintenance man performed some minor maintenance on my wheelchair. I am indebted to him for that. Our entire stay was wonderful and we will return.

Great locationPosted Feb 9, 2014
Cons: Could use a remodel, getting a little outdated on room decor
Location: Beach and park
It was a last minute decision and hotel was available, easy walk to everything, beach, bus line, restaurants, etc... Our biggest concern was cleanliness. Hotel was well maintained, no bugs and housekeeping is on top of their game. Thank you

First Time At QKHPosted Feb 9, 2014
Pros: see above
Cons: see above
Location: I was only there for two nights and simply wanted a place to stay and it was ideal for my needs at the time.
This was a very enjoyable stay, the beds were perfect, the staff absolutely perfect, and everything was clean and well looked after. I would have appreciated an addition bath towel and an addition glass or two. Hope to stay again.

Nice hotel in a great locationPosted Feb 4, 2014
Pros: Location, the bed and linens were comfy, staff was very friendly and helpful. Shopping and restaurants were within easy walking distance.
Cons: A small microwave would be nice.
Location: The location is across the street from the zoo, 1/2 block from the beach, has a wonderful view of Diamondhead and has a restaurant on site.
We loved the location of the hotel overlooking Diamondhead and only 1/2 block from the beach in Waikiki, where all the festivals take place. The hotel room was spacious, clean and nicely decorated with lots of windows to better enjoy the view. With the windows open to the ocean breezes, we did hear some sirens at night but were above other traffic noises. There was an in-room coffee pot and small refrigerator. Internet service was available. "The Bus" (which is the best way to get around the island) stops practically in front of the hotel.
