“Great place for everyone”

We checked in after hours and were amazed at the ease of parking and check in.It is a condo not a hotel so there was no maid service, we enjoyed not having anyone come into our room. They left us enough towels for our week stay also soap and toliet paper. The full kitchen was quite handy, everything you could think of was stocked in it. The condo is in the center of everything, 1/2 block down was the seaside restaurant, 3.99 breakfast and 10.99 steak, shrimp or lobster dinner, we had a car, so loved the free parking, didn't use it much as shuttles for everything stopped within a block. just make your bed and maid service is not missed. we loved this place, security guards always on duty and super friendly. Units are owned by different companies, any complaints I found were on other companys, expedia and vacation international units are perfect. stay here if you can. we highly reccommend it

“Great Place to stay”

This was a fantastic place to stay! From the moment I checked in the staff were extremely friendly. The room had a beautiful view and was very clean. I loved having a full kitchen, it was stocked with all the pans and cooking utensils you would need. The pool area was great, although we only went down for quick dips at the end of the day. I was an idiot and dropped my keys down the elevator shaft. They had the repair guy out (by chance) and returned my keys. That let me avoid a $50 charge. The bed was very comfortable, the fold out bed is just that, a fold out bed. They don't clean everyday or turn down your bed. This is a vacation condo not the Hilton. They did clean after 3 or 4 days, I can't remember. It didn't matter anyway we're able to pick up after ourselves and didn't need someone to remove the bedspread every night. If this is something that you "need" then you need a reality check, a peek at any current newspaper will let you know how lucky you are to be in such a place. Overall this was the best vacation I have ever been on and the hotel and it's staff played a major roll in that. Thank you very much :)

“no frills”

no frills, but the hotel was clean, offers free parking, and is in a great location. we enjoyed our stay.

“outstanding condo”

this condo was very clean and at a very good location you can travel to anywhere in the island by bus or car in fact you didn't need a car .It had all the neccessary of home,when I go back to hawaii I will stay again at this condo

“Comfortable Condo in Waikiki”

Royal Kuhio is a high-rise condo building with a great Waikiki location, convenient full size kitchen, and parking included. Stores and restaurants are within walking distance, beach is about 3 blocks away, and the bus stop is outside the front door. It's not fancy or high-end, nor is it a hotel or resort, but its clean, comfortable, convenient, and safe if those are the main things you're looking for. I love the free self-parking so I can go in/out when I want without having to pay for or tip a valet, and having a full kitchen to store drinks, snacks, etc.

“Great choice on a budget.”

We had a great stay. Very good location. Free parking was a big plus. Our only problem was the elevators had a few issues, but nothing major. Would stay here again. Very friendly staff.

“2nd wonderful stay!!”

We went to this hotel/condo 10 years ago and it is still a great place to stay!! It is farther from beach now due to more hotels being built. The pool was nice and the activity deck was WONDERFUL!! We played ping pong and swam in the pool. Exercise room had a lot of equipment, very nice. Hotel security is great!! You must use key to use each elevator and getting a place with parking is highly recommended as there is no such thing as FREE parking in Honolulu! By the way, nothing is FREE now in Hawaii. Hanauma Bay is recommended but it now costs 7.50 per person and you must watch a video about the reef before entering the bay and the video is only played at certain times. Pali Lookout, you now have to pay to park to stand at the lookout. The Bowfin Submarine now has an admission fee, we didn't go because I had seen before. Do not MISS the Kualoa Ranch! it is a bit pricey but well worth the money. This hotel is GREAT!! Food is ultra-expensive so save money and buy groceries and make breakfast in room each morning! The first morning, the only place open for breakfast (besides fast food) was a hotel with a gourmet buffet and we paid 20 bucks EACH!! The next day we made french toast in our room!! This hotel gives you rooms with full kitchen and seperate bedroom so perfect for families!!

“Good location, fair price”

The condo itself was in great shape. it was great to have the full sized kitchen. location is perfect; close to Waikiki, restaurants, and night life. I recommend getting a car if you plan on going to other parts of the island.Ssleeping was difficult as there are no blackout shades and the elevators don't stand up to the heavy use. over all it was a great stay.

“perfect for a short stay”

the hotel staff was great Jimmy at the front desk was great he took care of us when we checked in a bit early when we asked if any resturants delivered he went out of his way to find us one found a chinese resturant who delivered to the hotel the food was very good this is a good hotel with free parking which is hard to find. Would go back to this hotel

“Not so good”

Pool closed and not told until after check in. No WIFI. Could rent desk top computer time and print for 0.75 per page, but there was no paper. Security guards are very rude.
