Great Location - Spacious Room

Just one block from the beach. Street is 'one way' so you have to circle around to get there. Walk to everything, clubs, eateries, bus, trolley, park, zoo. Interesting lobby with swing chairs, internet access plus printer. Small funky elevator but not too scary. Surrounding buildings are local dwellings w/ stacks of surfboards alongside, but surprisingly not too noisy at night. We got an upgrade to two beds in separate rooms, apartment style. I figure that most rooms are as spacious, probably because this building looks like it was an apartment home before being converted. Great price, also. We would definitely go back.

Close to the beach and a lot of shopping.

We stayed here for only one night, as our beach rental wasn't available the first day on the island. It was great for what we needed. Staff was awesome. The continental breakfast was decent, and the room was clean and comfortable. It actually felt more like a studio apartment than a hotel room which is kinda cool. On the negative side, the hotel was run down more than the pictures show. Its a very old building that was painted bright white to make it look fresh. The bathroom was small and old. Taps dripped quite a bit, no matter how tight you turned them. But it was definitely good for what we needed. Just a heads up to those who book here, the road its on is the behind a major hotel/shopping center (the Hyatt I think) so there are a lot tour buses parked on the street as that's the drop off and pick up point for Waikiki outings. It was a little hard to find somewhere to stop when we arrived. But there is parking (not free) once you do check in. Happy travels!!

Value and comfort

I booked a room here for my wife and daughter who were attending a soccer tournament over the weekend. I was looking for a clean, safe and affordable hotel and came across this one. I picked a room with bunk beds which was a winner with my daughter :) the staff was really nice to them and they enjoyed the hotel restaurant. I will definitely be booking my stay at Stay the next time we're in Oahu

The hotel was a nice place to stay. We stayed out most of the time but it was a nice hotel to come back to. Friendly associates, clean, kinda small but we didn't stay at the hotel the entire time.

Excellent Location

Pros: Location. Free WiFi throughout the hotel. Daily continental breakfast. Beach accessories such as mats and floats.
Cons: There was no comfortable way to sit and watch TV, but then I didn't come to Hawai'i to watch TV.
Location: Walk to the zoo, Kapi'olaini Park and the aquarium. One block off Kalakaua Ave. and Waikiki Beach. Restaurants, fast food and shopping.
This is a good, clean, small hotel, not a 4 star resort. The Sway bar and restaurant opens at 4:00 PM. Very good food in a friendly atmosphere. It is easy to sit at the bar and make new friends.

Overpriced even for Hawaii

Pros: Next to a ABC Store for coffee and just a little over a block to the DUKE Statue and beach
Cons: Coffee pot in room! a couple of REAL chairs! hangers! Outlets that work!
Location: Beach
No daily cleaning. No Coffee maker in room. no coffee available in lobby until breakfast starts in the bar\restaurant. the room was small and looks as if it was an efficiency apartment prior to some basic renovation. the chair was a big plastic red hand, yes a RED HAND... no table. only one outlet worked for charging phones...Luckily there was a newer flat panel TV with USB that we hooked one phone up to for a charge. There was a closet ( No doors, only a old curtain) with NO hangers. the parking garage is a joke, unless you are in a Prius. ****************DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS PLACE!***********************
