Inexpensive and walking distance to beach

Posted Feb 17, 2015
Pros: great location. easy to walk to most things.
Cons: Tell people about the daily resort fee.
Every day we had to ask for towels, wash clothes or floor matt. I think they thought only one person was staying. Plus, they charged us a daily resport fee which was not on any of our paperwork.

The noisiest hotel I have ever stayed at!

Posted Feb 11, 2015
Pros: The only positive thing I can say about this place is that the location is fantastic - couldn't be in a better place than this - centre of everything.
Cons: They need to adjust their rate for the horrendous construction noise that surrounds this place. It is very basic accommodation - way overpriced
Location: The location is A1, centre of everything and you could not wish for more location wise.
In a word, AWFUL. There is construction going on all around that NEVER stops! Workers were smashing tiles and bricks into dumpsters that sounded like they were just outside our window. We had flown all night from Australia and we were exhausted so asked if we could check in earlier than 4:00pm, if we agreed to upgrade our room ($35 extra) we could so we did. We went straight to bed but could not get any sleep because of the noise. Also the noise recommenced at 05:45 next morning! We were so glad to check out the next day and glad that we had not booked extra nights. The room was VERY basic and certainly not worth the price charged. I also thought it was unreasonable to charge such a high amenity fee for a beach mat and a towel and a plastic satchel of cornflakes for breakfast! I asked if they would waive the "amenity" fee because I am 55 years old and not going to use the beach gear - they refused. There are much better accommodation options than this place. Book ANYWHERE but here if you want a comfortable stay. Our next hotel (Aqua Waikiki Pearl) was MUCH better value.

An OK room for a Dive in Waikiki. Clean room. OK breakfast, no eggs, the only warm thing for breakfast was a toaster and coffee.

Great location, but noisy neighbors

Posted Feb 4, 2015
Pros: The lobby the location the breakfast with fresh pineapple juice
Cons: Not sure you can do anything about the apartment neighbors
Location: EASY walking distance to the beach, shops and restaurants. MANY choices of activities
The hotel is conveniently located near many shops, restaurants, bars and the beach. Easy walking distance to anything that you would want to do. The lobby is especially nice with plenty of seating and open lanai to enjoy the breeze. BUT the hotel is sandwiched between two apartment complexes. There was loud celebration on the balcony of the apartments outside my room until the wee hours of the morning. These were not hotel guests or I would have complained to the front desk. The bed was very low (Japanese style) and there was no desk in the room. The bathroom was adequate but tiny.
