Great hotel, walk to Waikiki Beach!Posted Apr 18, 2015
Pros: The WIFI was blazingly fast, I had to download the Oahu Revealed Guidebook app (which I recommend highly) and was able to to do so. Great shower!
Cons: Access to the ice machine is by hotel staff only, a minor inconvenience.
Location: Waikiki is a short walk across Alo Moana street.
Our family of three had a great stay at this hotel. The staff is very courteous and helpful. One convenience they offer is text message assistance. We were on the North Shore and they agreed our restaurant selection was correct, and then made reservations for us! We were able to focus on having fun snorkeling and shrimp shacking. The concierge's we also a great resource and very friendly. Our room was next to the street, when I come back I'll request a room with less traffic noise.

Overnight stayPosted Mar 11, 2015
Pros: The price is fair when compared to other Waikiki properties.
Cons: In general it seemed quite clean but there was a patina of dust everywhere that shows cleaning is not deep. Water damage to the ceiling ugly.
We had one night that we needed to stay after our condo stay was up. The hotel is well situated though small. .Unfortunately my friend cannot use air conditioning and our room was right over the main street where the noise through the windows was continuous. I would reccommended asking for a top rear room for a bit of piece. The pool is clean but situated in the shade between 2 buildings and seems to be a wind tunnel but the beach is not too far to walk.

Clean and comfortablePosted Mar 6, 2015
Pros: Clean and comfortable, friendly staff
Cons: Newer elevator
Location: close to most things
Its an older building but the rooms are very nice, clean and comfortable. A little bit of street noise but if you are tired it should be no problem. Even though there is a coffee maker in the room it would be nice to have coffee available in the lobby.

Nice location and pricePosted Mar 1, 2015
Our 4 night stay at the Equus was very pleasant. The rooms were cozy and had everything we needed after a long day of activities. Zach down by the front desk was great about helping us find different activities to book during our stay such as whale watching, a luau and a day at Pearl Harbor. The beds were very comfortable at night but the only downsides were the slightly small shower space and the street noise due to the location next to the busy street. However, I would be more than willing to stay here again. The rooms were a good deal, the staff helpful and the hotel is located a short walk from the Ala Moana Mall, an ABC store and the beach.

Good location in Waikiki.Posted Jan 26, 2015 on Hotels.com
Good central location in Waikiki, welcoming friendly staff. Rooms toward the front however do pick up some traffic noise.
