Pros: Beachfront room and dolphins
Cons: Having to pay for classes most resorts do complimentary
Location: Peaceful and true beachfront
Great location away from hustle and bustle of Waikiki but with benefit of a shuttle which is free to guests. Loved the dolphins! Beachfront room includes a cabana which is great. Outdoor yoga lovely

Nice Location
Posted Jan 28, 2013
The Kahala is a beautfiul resort, located in a great spot. We went on our babymoon and I enjoyed it very much. Its a shrot drive to Diamond Head, and Hanauma Bay where you can snorkel. The only thing that was annoying was the internet went out and they had a guy banging oon the room for about an hour right over our room. I called the front desk and she said he as going to be up there until 5. I think they assumed everyone was out in the sun, but we were trying to watch a movie. Other than that, everyone was very pleasant and nice and we enjoyed our stay. We will probably try another island next time though.

Paradise!!!!!

Pros: I loved everything about this hotel.. The location, staff, room , dining, etc... I felt like royalty!:)
Cons: Maybe a shuttle from the airport..
Location: Location was perfect! I really like being away from the craziness of Waikiki , but just cab ride away if you want to hang with tourists.
The best vacation I have had in awhile. It was definitely do to my stay at the Kahala Resort. The beach is right out of your room. The dolphin lagoon was amazing ( take up the dolphin experience & swim with them). The staff was so hospitable & friendly. They had great dining on the resort, & everything was close by 5miles ( Waikiki , zoo, etc..) I loved that is was a private beach for snorkeling, paddle surfing, etc. I plan on going back next year!!

Great location, but the hotel is too old to be ranked as a 5 star hotel. It needs renovation!

We had the best time at the Kahala Resort. The staff was superb, helpful, and courteous. The room was spacious and lovely. The beach was clean and beautiful. I could go on and on... We highly recommend the Kahala!

A gem that combines nature, luxury and city buzz..
Posted Jan 29, 2013
A little quiet paradise not too far away from waikiki so you can combine the buzz of the city and come back to the hotel for a great calm environment. The dolphins within the compound are an absolute marvel. It is instructive and at the same time entertaining. The hotel has renown with many celebrities that have stayed there but we felt as important and welcome. So definitely a recommendation .

Great Hotel for a Family Vacation.
Posted Jan 19, 2013
Pros: Hotel facilities and food was excellent, Dolphin Quest and the natural laggon was a bonus for kids to enjoy the dolphins and Sea turtles.
Cons: Hotel Mgmt didnt allow the complementary late checkout instead asked for the additional $80 for 2 hours of extention.
Location: Location is far from the crowded waikiki beach and if your like peace and enjoy the ocean, this is a perfect location.
Kahal Hotel is the perfect Hotel and Resort for the family vacation. Hotel Staff was excellent. Only glitch is the late check out option, i would suggest the Hotel Mgmt should allow guests who are staying in the hotel for a week long vacation, should have the flexibility in the check out, our flight to seattle was @ 09:00 PM local time in Honolulu, but Hotel Mgmt denied our request for the complementary late checkout. I had stayed in so many hotels and travelled overseas and no other places would deny late checkout request, especially the flight timings are at odd hours.

Pros: Attentiveness to details; always smiles and personal by name hellos.
Cons: Good question!
Location: About 1/2 hour from the hustle and bustle of Waikiki but taxi or rental car is easy; close to Diamond Head state park, and ON the ocean.
A very wonderful 6 nights/5 day stay at this resort hotel that has something for everyone. So glad it was offered as a choice with Expedia. Definitely a first class hotel; we will go back again since the downside of it all was that we had to leave.
