Great hotel and staff, and when the resort completes it's full remodel, it will have a lot to offer. The rooms were comfortable and there we're plenty of options for food. When we were there, there was still lots of construction both inside and outside of hotel. The flyer in the room said that renovations will be complete by fall 2014

The resort was exactly as anticipated.

Posted Aug 10, 2014
Pros: internet
Location: This was our daughter's first visit to the island so we showed her Pearl Harbor, Waikiki and a luau. We spent a fair amount of time on the other side.
Beautiful resort with gorgeous views, well-maintained grounds, comfortable, clean guest rooms. The staff was professional and friendly. If you want to escape the congestion of the other side of the island this is the place to be, however, if you plan to do a lot of sightseeing, you may find the location a bit of a drive. I was just slightly disappointed with some of the menu selections and food prices. There was some construction going on in the main lobby, but this was not a problem during our stay. I would absolutely plan to visit again and would recommend this resort to others without hesitation. Unfortunately, we had to depart a day earlier than planned due to the approaching hurricanes.

Expensive... Yet worth it.

Posted Aug 9, 2014
I was a little apprehensive making reservations at Turtle Bay primarily due to the high cost of staying at the resort (resort fees, dining, drinks add up quickly!) but the service more than made up for it- we were there during Hurricane Iselle and the staff did a wonderful job making sure all guests were well taken care of and our safety seemed there main concern. Perks such as free snorkeling and complimentary champagne and strawberries for honeymooners were a nice touch. Check out Kula Grill if you decide to eat there- food and the service (recurring theme here) were both excellent!

Relaxing

Posted Aug 7, 2014
Pros: We enjoyed the Hang Ten Grill, the helpful attitude of the beach staff and the efficient job of housecleaning.
Cons: Yes, more restaurants where we can get delicious food !!!!!!
Location: The location was close to several other beaches. We also were close to skydiving (amazing) and several other great restaurants.
We really enjoyed our stay at Turtle Bay. My daughters took the surf lessons offered at the hotel and had a great time. The views from the hotel balcony were amazing. We found the hotelnstaff veer friendly . There was a lot of construction being done , but it rotated where it was taking place each day.

Beautiful resort ON the beach

Posted Aug 7, 2014
To begin, our very affordable room had a 90 degree view of the beach, Palm trees, rolling waves, and one of the most beautiful sunrises one could ask for. The dining options ranged from fish tacos by the pool to romantic dinners with an ocean view. Turtle Bay os also located within walking distance of Kawela Bay and miles of coastal hiking trails. Waimea Falls, Sunset Beach, Turtle Beach, and the historia beach / surf town of Haleiwa were a 20 minute ride on public transportation. Turtle Bay delivered on everything that we were promised and anything that we wanted.

Nice resort with great beach access and feel

Posted Aug 4, 2014
Pros: The resort was much fuller and than our previous stays. We spoke to staff and they said new owners purchased the resort and were renovating spending $
Cons: A loyalty program for people that are repeat guests.
Location: The location is great to get away from the rat race and hustle and bustle of Waikiki, but you can golf, swim, surf, hike, horseback ride, paddle board
We have stayed at this resort twice prior to this stay and when we check in the previous two time we found the check in staff much more personable, friendly and asked if we had stayed at the resort before and thanked us for staying again. However, this on the this stay we found the check in staff very formal, not very friendly and did not ask if we stayed at the resort before. The person checkin us in referred to our use of Expedia several times as the process by which we booked the room and with a bit of attitude I might add. Both my wife and I felt this and spoke about it after we checked in. We did arrive at the hotel about 3 hours before check in the person at check in provided us with a room anyway, which were were very grateful for. We would have appreciated acknowledgment that we stayed at the resort two previous times, but noon was asked or given.

Aloha, Thank you for continuing to visit us at Turtle Bay. We sincerely appreciate you patronage and apologize for the unacceptable treatment you received at the front desk. One of our employee values is aloha, and we are so sorry you didn’t feel it at the front desk this time around. Proper management has been notified about your review and will train staff accordingly. We can only hope Turtle Bay continues to hold a special place in your heart and you choose to give us the chance to make it up to you on your fourth visit. Mahalo.

Amazing resort!!!

Posted Aug 3, 2014
Just got back from this amazing resort we did a 6 week tour of the USA and stopped off at Oahu on the way back to relax and this place provided exactly that! We stayed for a week in the junior suite which was very expensive but we were very happy with the room so guess it was worth it, the hotel is an hour away from the airport and away from the city and all the chaos which is Awsome except the $150 taxi ride there and back! the hotel literally has everything you need own snorkeling lagoon paddle board and surf area! Kayak tours, moped rental bike rental car rental they have it all, staff were very nice and accommodating, it has 7 resturants and there all amazing on the beach Is a must we ended eating there 7 times during our stay 4 of them for dinner and I got the same meal lobster tail..amazing!! There's also sharks cove for snorkeling nearby and that's the best snorkelling I've ever done clear as water and tons of fish:) some let downs about the hotel was the board rentals because it is so popular and I think they only had 5 beginner stand up boards that seemed to be constantly taken I think we tried 8 times to rent one 3 of those times were in the same day and only ended up being able to get one board between 2 of us which wasn't really fun so:/ but this was our favourite place of our whole trip non the less and am planning our next trip back already:) definitely recommend this place if you want a nice relaxing holiday

Great hotel with lots of amenities.

Best place to watch the sunset. Golf was great at the Palmer course. Close to all the north shore activities and away from the hustle and bustle of Honolulu.

Outstanding & Excellent

Posted Aug 2, 2014
Pros: Room was so spacious, spotlessly clean & just as it looks on the website, staff all polite/friendly/helpful. Loved it because we could actually relax!
Cons: Serving breakfast at Ola, otherwise nothing, outstanding!
Location: Took just under an hour from airport to resort by hire car. Pineapple plantations locally, guaranteed turtle sightings on Turtle beach.
My husband and myself booked into the hotel just for a short stay, extended this by a day because we loved the hotel that much! The hotel is so clean, has the friendliest staff and the best rooms and views. There are some renovations in progress at the moment, but they did not bother us at all. We had an Ocean front room, the views were that outstanding we slept with the curtains open! Food is great, we ate at Ola the beach restaurant every night, it was just so relaxing and the food and service is great there!
