“Very Pleased”

Room at Waikiki Hotel Resort was much bigger than expected . . . especially after staying at Ohana West where our room was size of a postage stamp. Hotel is close to beach. Generally pleased with our stay . . . would stay there again.

“Waikiki Resort Hotel and Expedia- a great combo!”

Our experience at the Waikiki Resort Hotel was wonderful from top to bottom. Hotel management, staff, service, cleaning, and security were superb. June at the front desk and Nurly providing room cleaning were exceptional. We have travelled throughout the world and this was definitely one of our best experiences. Expedia staff also made the difference as Gregg provided us with the best advise and reservations for fantastic tourist events. When we travel in the future, it will be through Expedia!

“Came back a 2nd time”

We stayed in this hotel 2 years ago. We really liked the location and the staff were all so friendly. So, we decided to stay here again. We just can't say enough good things. It is definitely not like the other 5-star hotels down the street. But, for our budget, we were just really happy with our stay overall.

“Our second stay”

It was the second time we stayed at the hotel. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. (I would not have choosen the carpet as it appears old but I believe was relatively new.) I couldn't find a thing wrong with our stay, so it gets high marks. The Waikiki location is great.

“Lovely Place for a Vacation Adventure”

We were really happy with the hotel stay and our overall trip in Hawai'i-- I mean you need to get some rest in order to have a fulfilling vacation, right? :) Best: - It is one block from the beach, literally. It's near the statue of Duke. AWESOME LOCATION! It's also near a couple rental car locations (Hyatt Hotel). - Being by a 24 Hr McDonald's was actually really great to grab a quick bite before heading to the beach, but also when we had to wake up at 4am to be picked up for a tour. - I personally loved having 6 pillows available for the bed without asking! - Being able to print boarding passes for free - Loved the open lobby. There is a no door or window entrance! Improvements: - Parking was a little bit confusing. We rented a car in the middle of our stay and we had to pay for however many nights immediately as well as validate the ticket so we can go in and out of the parking garage. It didn't seem as easy as it could've been. - We wanted to let the Hawaiian Breeze flow into the room, but the sliding glass door was squeaky and very hard to open and close. - Since it can get really windy in Waikiki, it would've been nice to have a drying cord run across the bathtub/shower to dry at least two beach towels and bathing suits. I've seen these in a couple of hotel bathrooms. I was too afraid that my towels would blow off the balcony! Just one of those luxury things I guess. I'd recommend this hotel to anybody.

“Most likely would go back.”

My overall opinion is one of complete satisfaction. The issue with only one mirror definately created delay and each of us trying not to hamper the other. Also as far as the hotel goes in the bath/toilet area there was not a hook anywhere to hang your bathrobe or clean clothes or etc. In other words we had to walk out from showering naked to an area to dress which most likely was the mirror/sink area and was occupied by the other person trying to be done and out of the way. The other option was to keep the drapes closed and tip toe passed the "mirror /sink person and then dress from the bedroom area which housed suitcases. This was inconvenient at best. Also, we had one hand towel-one bath towel and one only wash cloth. I'm not in the habit of washing my face with the same cloth I wash my body with and also not happy with either a towel for my body or a towel for my hair. Each day we had to call of extras. I would have thought that request would have been noted and carried over to each day. It is the only hotel stay that I have encountered this particular towel, wash cloth issue-and also the one mirror only issue. The staff was great in every other way. /

“Good Experience”

We stayed 7 nights. Front desk was very accommodating in getting us a better room due to the longer stay. One side of the building faces a house with a lot of barking dogs. Make sure you ask not to be facing that side. If you make telephone calls, you need to open a telephone account. We stayed there when there was a tsunami warning on the island. Hotel staff could have taken better steps to inform us on their emergency plan along with instructions. Our friends in another hotel got notices under their doors on added information. Otherwise, a very pleasant stay in this hotel.
