Waikiki Sand Villa stay

Posted Mar 31, 2014
Pros: Location was good. Hotel staff were friendly.
Cons: Bedding needs improvement. Hallways need new carpet.
Location: Great location, convenient a little noisy with traffic.
Location was convenient to beach, shopping, and eating. Hotel bed and pillows were very uncomfortable. Woke up with soar neck and body aches. Hallway smelled bad. Don't rent a car, waste of money to pay $20 per day to park at the hotel. There are shuttles to pick you up for any excursions or activities you choose to do. The beach is close for walking.

Good Price for Great Staff and Soft Beds!

Posted Mar 28, 2014
Pros: The beds were soft, the toilets were nice, showers were nice and hot, and it was close to the beach and food restaurants. Breakfast was the best!!
Cons: They did not have digital connection on TVs inside hotel, but who cares, we were in hawaii to explore the outdoors, not watch tv. :)
Location: You are close to the waikiki beach, and bus routes to go to other areas in Oahu. Diamond Head Mountain, Lanikai beach, Hanauma bay, and Makapu lagoons
The experience has been great at this hotel if you disregard the police sirens at night time. You will enjoy your stay at this hotel because the staff is very friendly and you don't have to worry about theft, at least I didn't and I had very expensive valuables out in the open. The main attraction for me was the bathroom because it has a remote control that washes your rear end and a button for warming the toilet seat. Amazing! Also, the view out on the balcony was beautiful as well. The Jacuzzi was nice and hot and the pool, which was only 3 ft deep, was so-so. What I enjoyed the most was the breakfast here. All you can eat for $12.50 (tax included). My favorite was the french toast, GET IT!! because you will LOVE IT!! :) Overall 4.7/5 for me.

one of the only smoking hotels

Posted Mar 26, 2014
Cons: have more options for breakfast little better lighting in the bathroom coffee supplied everyday if staying more than one day
very nice when we arrived at seven am to drop off our luggage. room was ready at three when we returned, older hotel that could use some updating. free internet with three computers on the floor i went to, the mouse didn't work on one computer. had laundry on one floor, had a problem with washer, someone arrived almost immediately once the problem was brought to their attention same thing with the tv. had lots of channels but only sound on some. only supplied coffee for the first day. food was expensive for the breakfast smorg, not a lot of options and no toast or bacon and you could only get the smorg. the staff was excellent close to lots of shopping and buses

Good value, with pool and free wi-fi

Posted Mar 25, 2014
Location: Try the Marukame udon noodle restaurant a few blocks away.
The Waikiki Sands Villa Hotel is an older hotel. We stayed on the 8th floor of the tower, in a room with 2 double beds which also had a balcony and a bar fridge. Apart from the small size of the room, the beds were comfortable. The hotel offers free Wi-Fi, and we had a strong signal and no problems connecting our smart phones, an iPad and a laptop. The hotel has a nice pool (although not heated) and a small hot tub. It was conveniently located so we didn't need a car. It lends out beach towels, but they had to be returned each day. It no longer offers a free breakfast, instead offering a breakfast buffet for $11.99. We ate elsewhere. Also they only provide coffee for the coffeemaker in the room the first day. Overall a good budget hotel in a good location.
