Great pool, good food and very friendly.Posted Aug 28, 2014
Pros: I liked the fact that this hotel was clean, had friendly staff and close to everything we needed. A bit far from the beach if that is what you want.
Cons: A bigger TV in the rooms would be nice.
Location: Close to shopping for food and souvenirs. lots of restaurants close by. and the hotel has a concierge to help out with your excursion adventures.
We needed a place to stay for a few days while we were waiting for our condo. The room was clean and comfortable (the TV was a bit small). We enjoyed the pool allot. there was even a solar powered foot spa - boasting the only one in the world. It was nice to sit at and chat with other people trying it just to say they were there. If you stay here please eat downstairs at the Sand Bar & Grill. The food there is very good. The breakfast is OK if you are very hungry otherwise I would recommend eating elsewhere for breakfast. the staff were very nice and helpful. The hotel made us feel welcome. This hotel caters to a large number of Japanese visitors and are able to speak both English and Japanese.

Decor out of date with popcorn ceiling but clean.Posted Aug 23, 2014
Price is reasonable. Love that hygiene thing attached to the commode. If you don't want to use the $25 hotel parking, use the street metered parking. Usually opens up at 7 am on the next street (25cents per 10 minutes). For overnight parking of $12.00 from 5p to 7a on that self parking adjacent to the hotel next to food pantry. Works well if you are not going to be there on the area all day and busy sightseeing.

Great location and friendly staffPosted Aug 22, 2014
Away from hustle of main downtown area but away walking distance to great food, beach and activities. Zoo/ aquarium close as are many bus stops to Diamondhead, Honolulu , etc... Hotel is perfect for budget conscious without seeming cheap. Open air bar and grill is nice and staff all over hotel is helpful and friendly. Hospitality room for those who have to check out but don't fly until later.

Hotel close to WaikikiPosted Aug 21, 2014
Pros: Location, friendly staff & Japanese-style toilet.
Cons: Parking is too expensive.
Location: A good budget hotel within walking distance to Waikiki with a variety of food and shopping options.
We spent only 1 night in the area to check out Waikiki. The hotel seems old and room is simple but we like its location.

Great place in WaikikiPosted Aug 19, 2014
Pros: The staff, the pool, the location.
Cons: Everything was perfect.
Location: Everything was in walking distance, the rental car place was literally 500 metres down the road.
I was reluctant to book somewhere I wasnt sure of, but this place was amazing. It took 5 minutes to walk to Waikiki beach an d all the best restaurants were within a 10 minute walk. The staff were fantastic and even though we arrived at 7am they did all they could to get us checked in as early as possible. Rooms were clean and serviced daily, the pool, spa and bar were great and so relaxing. We booked again as soon as we left.

They're saving money tooPosted Aug 16, 2014
Location: Excellent location for a business traveler -- slightly away from the insanity of Waikiki tourism.
While the rate was good and check-in easy/pleasant, this hotel showed itself before I stepped into the elevator and onto cheap dirty carpet with some polyethylene liner showing at the the edges. One needs to have a room key-card inserted into a device to get TV and air conditioning. The temp was 77 degrees upon entering and 75 after two hours of trying to get the inadequate unit down to 70. I asked the (well mannered) front desk if there was a TV channel guide and was told, it's just basic cable -- i.e. "Why would you care"? Then there's the shower with inadequate spray. The bed, however, was fine and the room's looks-like-wood floor clean. I will stay somewhere else (perhaps for more money) next trip. I don't blame the staff but the ownership that appears to be saving every dime they can.

There seemed to be more than a few people who enjoyed alternative lifestyles at this hotel. This was not ideal.

Good locationPosted Jul 30, 2014
Pros: It was central, good value and a great hotel if you are looking for a more budget experience.
Cons: The gym, it needs a massive upgrade!
Location: It was only about 7 minutes to the beach by foot, close to the main strip and also the more "local" strip for restaurants etc too.

Away from the main strip on the canals.Posted Jul 22, 2014
Pros: The pool and laundry facilities.
Ok hotel. Great pool. Very noisy aircon but that seems to be the case at every hotel here. Located on a busy road. Most staff were helpful although when we hired push bikes and wanted to store them we were given different information from 3 staff members, nobody knew what to do. Give buffet breakfast a miss, expensive, not much choice, toast and waffles were cold, juice watery.
