Location: Convenient location for exploring Oak Bluffs by foot or bike and catching the VTA bus.
We enjoyed a five day stay. The breakfast and afternoon snacks were tasty and appreciated. Our room was cozy, quiet, and clean. We walked from the ferry dock to the hotel. Then we walked to all the sights in Oak Bluffs, along the beach and to the VTA bus stops to explore other island locations.

Fantastic front porch!!!

Posted Oct 18, 2014
Pros: Pretty, friendly, cozy, homey.
Cons: The clothes hook on the back of the bathroom door was broken. Other than that, it was perfect.
Location: We were in among the larger of the "cottages" and hotels. Just a short walk from the adorable "painted lady" cottages, dining, the beach, and shops.
We really enjoyed our stay at the Pequot. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The building, as you drive up, was everything I wanted in a hotel - very pretty and relaxing. Our room was VERY tiny, but the decor was pretty, homey, and cozy. Breakfast was what I eat at home - yogurt, fruit, oatmeal, so that was perfect. The front porch was my very favorite place, oh and the back patio. They were both so relaxing and pretty. I sat with several other guests on the front porch Thursday afternoon drinking iced tea with mint from their windowbox, eating chocolate chip cookies, and enjoying a torrential rainstorm; the rockers and porch swing were perfect for viewing. I would HIGHLY recommend this hotel for your get away. We intend to go back next October.

Very nice hotel

The Pequot is excellent. THE STAFF is very nice. They keep the place clean and comfortable. The breakfast is wonderful. It was the best gluten free breakfast ever! Many choices and the best biscuits! Fresh lemonade, iced tea and baked cookies and gingerbread every afternoon at 2. Wine glasses available to sit out on porch in rockers. Beautiful area.

welcoming hotel

Location: A little walk to the Ferry and to shopping and restaurants but an enjoyable one!
Fabulous breakfast included in price of room. Anything you could want. In the afternoon ice tea, lemonade and homemade choc. chip cookies and in the fall, hot apple cider and gingerbread. All complementary! Loved rocking in the rocking chairs on the front porch. Turn down service at night with a chocolate on your pillow. Better than one of those expensive hotels and the staff were just wonderful. Can't wait to go back again.

More like a B & B than a hotel.

Friendly staff, intimate surroundings promoted friendly greetings from other guests. This was the best hotel of our vacation.

Charming hotel near everything

Posted Jul 26, 2014
Pros: We loved the historic charm of the Pequot hotel.
Location: Location was great! Close to Circuit Ave and the Gingerbread Village.
This was our first visit to Martha's Vineyard (Oak Bluffs). We absolutely loved the charm and friendliness of this town!! Lived on lobster rolls and clam chowder!! This hotel is close to the main street in town and also only about a block to the beach. The staff at the hotel could not have been more helpful in giving restaurant recommendations as well as ideas of things to do while visiting Oak Bluffs and the surrounding areas.

Room

Posted Jun 28, 2014
Pros: The porch!
Cons: Hospitality was a 10.
Location: You need a car.
I had booked a room in the main house on the second floor. Ended with a room off the kitchen! Felt like the help! When I questioned our room I was told it was an upgrade! For $244 you decide!

Great hotel,close to beach

Posted Jun 26, 2014
Pros: Staff,location,quietness,food,everything.
Cons: Nothing
Location: Near the beach, downtown, busses, steamship ferries.
The staff at the hotel were so nice, pleasant and helpful, they couldn't do enough for us. We were very pleasantly surprised since we had no idea about the island. The location of the hotel was fabulous as we loved Oak Bluffs. We would definitely come back and stay at the Pequot Hotel.
