“Will stay there again when we go back for gauley season”

As stated above, hotel was brand new. Room very nice, workout facility was small but they had one and had free wifi in the rooms which was hady. Breakfast saved us a lot of hassel and some cash. Very nice.

Great staff, clean room and excellent complimentary breakfast selection with accommodating long hours.

“I would stay again”

The staff was friendly, location was great (near all the whitewater rafting places and near many restaraunts). Staff was friendly. Breakfast was better than most with hot breakfast each day. The rooms were very narrow and small, but not a big deal since we went their to be in the outdoors and only used the place to crash. I would stay here again. Place was clean.

“Why bother with the "no smoking" signs??!!”

This is a new construction with all-new furnishings. The front desk service was very efficient and accommodating (of a request to switch rooms to the back side of the building). The complimentary breakfast is well above average. The two-double-bed room, however, was too small for all the furnishings: No way for two people to move around in the room at the same time. The bathroom layout and fixtures were certainly not consistent with the room rate. My make-or-break concern is that the place reeks of cigarette smoke. No matter that every room that I saw had a "no smoking" sign on the door. The smell in the hallways was very offensive, and the smell seeped into our room both nights. It was so pervasive that I didn't even bother mentioning it to the front desk. They must know that the signs are being ignored. I was impressed by a $100 no smoking violation fine that I had to agree to at another ChoiceHotels facility recently. This ChoiceHotels Comfort Inn needs to adopt that practice. I won't go back.
