“Excellent Hotel in Oak Ridge”

Excellent location between Walmart and Kmart with Outback kitty-corner to it. Best part was hot cookies in the afternoon in the lobby. The breakfast was pretty hardy and could each an average person full for hours.

The hotel is nice and clean. I had no problem with anything. Staff were good. Rooms are good and comfortable. Large parking space. The location is excellent!!! Walking distance from most of the restaurants. I would recommend this hotel.

“Had a good stay”

I had a business meeting at Oak Ridge National Laboratory, and booked this hotel through the Web. I was satisfied with both the service and closeness for getting to my meetings. However, the vicinity around the hotel is rather bland, but then that might go for the entire town, as well!

Thank you for the welcome that you have given me. You have always answered my questions and been able to provide help when needed. Breakfast is great!!

“Mixed blessing”

The Comfort Inn in Oak Ridge is one of the better hotels in town. The location is good - within walking distance of several restaurants. The complimentary breakfast is pretty good - bagels, waffles, pastries, french toast, hard boiled eggs, biscuits and gravy. I never left hungry, but more fruit would have been nice. Having said that, several things detracted from my stay - the hotel is showing its age - the shower dripped throughout my stay, and the sink drain was sluggish. Further, my TV had terrible reception that never changed despite two complaints to the desk clerk. My room was on the first floor, and there was a very noisy group setting up for a party in a ballroom across the hall that was noisy until after 11 p.m. for two nights. If you stay there, I recommend you ask for a room above the first floor.

“The check-in clerk was a complete jerk!”

While the hotel was clean and well-maintained, the check-in clerk was a real *sshole! My wife did not bring her laptop PC, so she she asked the clerk how to log on to 1 of the guest PCs to get personal e-mail, The clerk VERY sarcastically said: "I can't believe that you don't know how to log on to the guest PCs to get your e-mail, everbody knows how!" She also made several other snide & arcastic remarks. When we checked out the next morning (by another clerk at the desk), I got the name of the sacastic clerk and I plan to contact Comfort Inn managment about her. I also plan to post this on several other hotel review sites.
