“Great for that price”

Good for the amount of money you will be paying. Room was pretty clean and facilities were OK, given the price.

“Great Value”

Don't let the location fool you. Bay Breeze Inn is located off the freeway in an industrial area, but it is safe, clean, and quiet. The price online is a great deal .We were expecting a typical "cheap" motel, but to our surprise, the room was very clean with fresh carpet and paint. There is also on premise laundry facility as well as room service with good reasonably priced food. Shopping strip malls and dining are just five minutes away. The staff is very helpful and very pleasant. Until we find a permanent residence we will continue to come back every week, Whether you are just staying one night or you need a few days, this is the place to book.

“Inexpensive, but satisfactory”

The saying that you get what you pay for is accurate. The locale is not the best part of town, but since we only slept there (and the bed was comfortable and clean), it did not matter. The price was good. Thank you.

“cheap and clean”

Main advantage is price. I came to visit the city so comfort was not very important to me. Room was clean. Hotel is close to highway so it's a little noisy.

“Bargain but with no business traveler amenities”

This is a 1950s hotel that looks it from the outside. The only thing that's been upgraded is the sign. My room had been remodeled with new sink, tub surround, drywall, etc. There were 2 small bars of soap, but otherwise no travel amenities. Hotel is in industrial type area, so no nearby services for travelers. It is also located right next to 880 freeway, so bring earplugs. Lots of security cameras outside, so it was safer than it appeared from the outside. It's family run, so front desk service depends on which family member is covering.

“If you have a car, you are good.”

It is out in the industrial area of Oakland. There is no restaurants within walking distance of this place. The Oracle Arena and Oakland Coliseum is about a 1 mile away and walking distance when the sun is out. Place is kinda sketchy when there is no lights out.

“adequate”

It was adequate. There were no bugs and the TV worked. Everything else was in place (except, surprisingly, there was no phone or alarm clock -- thank God/dess I had brought my cell phone and an alarm clock). I knew the place was inexpensive and in an iffy neighborhood, so my expectations weren't super high. But it served my purposes for the night.

“DONT DO IT”

Spend a little more money and stay somewhere else. By the way they make you pay for ice.....First for me.

“Skip It”

No continental breakfast, saggy spring mattress, paper thin walls, no shampoo or soap, no coffee or tea maker, no alarm clock, no telephone...everything that might have been stolen was removed. Staff spoke very little English which made communication about a refund difficult. They did provide free wifi and 24 hr video surveillance.
