The room was nice, not fancy.Posted Jun 19, 2014
Pros: The location was nice for visiting the Berkeley campus. It was close but out of the center of all the activity. The hotel was surprisingly quiet.
Cons: The continental breakfast was just a bowl of cereal and a cup of coffee in the hotel lobby. Nowhere to sit and not worth the effort.
Staff was pleasant. Room was tidy. Parking was convenient.

Basic accomodationsPosted Jun 11, 2014
Pros: Rate and location (distance from Cal).
Cons: Bathrooms should be updated
Location: Visiting the university
I chose this motel because of the relatively low rate and its proximity to Cal, since I was visiting my daughter. I've stayed here at least once before. The rooms are acceptable in terms of size, bed comfort, and other amenities (mini fridge, tv, wifi). But the bathrooms should be upgraded. They are a bit dated in terms of the fixtures and the water pressure was extremely low.

Close to UC BerkeleyPosted Jun 4, 2014
Pros: TV LCD good picture, HBO for those Game of Thrones people. Shower had good flow and pressure.
Cons: Bathrooms are clean but need a little work.
Location: Very close to UC Berkeley.
Hotel is about 4 blocks from UC Berkeley. Room was clean, had HBO so I could watch Game of Thrones. Beds were good for any hotel. Staff let me keep my car parked there till 2pm when I was finished at the university. TV was decent size LCD. I'll stay here again. Great price for the area.

Good enough for 1 night hotelPosted May 4, 2014
The room smelled strongly like shower cleaner. The color of the room light green and the bed spreads dark green, not good colors. The best thing in the room was the flat screen TV, there was a microwave and a refrigerator as well. You can hear all the noise from the other rooms above and next to you. For some reason the phone would ring and wake you up. I only stayed for 1 night, it was good enough for that, it is also in a good location for walking around downtown.

Berkeley TravelodgePosted Apr 26, 2014
Cons: Hotel is dated...needs interior updated
Location: University ave in the heart of Berekely
The location is excellent.....right on University avenue and shopping and food are all in walking distance. Very lively are with a lot going on.....the hotel is dated...rooms need to be upgraded...but considering the price it is a bargain. So if you plan to be gone most of the day and are looking for a bed and shower in a great location, it is ideal.

Pros: I like the location, there is adequate parking-sometimes an issue in downtown Berkeley. The price sure seemed fair.
Location: Shopping is close, also decent restaurants. It's a 10-15 min walk up to UC Berkeley
Pleasant place, great location in Berkeley. It's an easy walk up to Shattuck. I thought the place was clean, quiet, rather friendly staff.

run down, not very clean, good locationPosted Mar 16, 2014
Cons: cleanliness, fixing up the rooms (e.g. one lamp did not work, curtains ripped, etc)
Location: close to Cal campus and nice cafes, close to BART station
The location is good - everything is within walking distance; the hotel stuff were not particularly friendly or helpful, but efficient enough. The room smelled, ripped curtains, bed sheets had stains, towels very worn out, not very clean at all.
