Older Well-Maintained Hotel

Posted Nov 16, 2014
Pros: Location and room size.
Cons: Better beds.
Location: Bowling, seasonal ice skating, shopping, bay beach area, dining.
Good location with lots of shopping and entertainment, close to a Bay Beach. Large rooms. Lake view is nice. Beds aren't great but for an older hotel everything is well maintained.

Overnight Business Trip

Posted Nov 13, 2014
Front desk staff kept answering the phone instead of checking us in. Beds were ok, but holes in comforter and sheets were scratchy. Continental breakfast consisted of a box of donuts and coffee. Old and in desperate need of remodel.

Large rooms.

Posted Nov 8, 2014
Pros: Large rooms. Quiet at night. Good air near the water.
Cons: Breakfast! Clean the carpets. Move the ducks. Mattresses of bed a bit lumpy
Location: Takes about an hour to get to San Fransisco.
Terrible continental breakfast! Toast with butter only. A box of sickly sweet cheap donuts. Items missing. Hotel 4.1 miles from the ferry terminal with parking; closer to BART station ... about a mile. Staff look exhausted. Ducks live in the swimming pool! Public carpeted areas grubby.

Great location. Would stay there again.

Pros: Location.
Great location in Alameda near the water. Yes, it's old but the rooms are clean and spacious. Quiet location. Staff friendly, helpful. Would stay there again no problem.

Great location

Posted Nov 4, 2014
Pros: location
Cons: upgrade quality. update d├ęcor. it is old and dingy
Location: easy walking to beach, and downtown and mall across the street.
this hotel has not been updated in many many years. while the staff was very pleasant and accommodating, there was an odor of some type when you walked inside the door. the rooms were made up (by housekeeping staff) very well and they were accommodating about more towels, etc. That being said the rooms and building itself was old and dingy which made the rooms seem less clean. If they were invest some money for new linoleum on the floors, better AC and maybe put a radio/alarm clock in the room, they may get better ratings.
