Smelled like smoke

Smelled like smoke and fruity cleaner to cover up smoke. It was really bad.

Staff was great! Very nice, courteous and extremely helpful! Rooms were okay, not as nice as previous Marriott's I have stayed in.

Nice hotel

Pros: Spaciousness of room, attentiveness of staff
Cons: Replacement of old TV in room, better hours for bistro, coffee availability; don't charge for parking
Location: Oakland Colliseum for baseball, football; Oracle Center for basketball, easy drive to SFran, Napa Valley
Nice hotel, great staff, close to Oakland airport + sports centers + SFO and Napa sites; only downside was an outdated TV in room.

Great for Business Travelers

Close to airport, but make sure to call hotel for their complimentary shuttle or you will be waiting wondering when it's coming. Downside was restaurant was only open from 5 to 10 pm, but there are a few places in walking distance. Special thank you to staff for letting our group check in early. The staff was super nice, including shuttle driver. 5 to 10 minutes to Jack London Square

Oakland Mariott, a diamond in a marginal neighborh

Pros: It was a hotel convenient to the freeway, Walmart, and homeless graffiti spraying society's marginal to fill a lifetime;
Cons: More parking....
Location: Oracle Stadium, viewing native indiginous graffiti spray painting art, giving cash to society's marginal.
Limited parking in the red zone that you have to pay for; night desk attendant with an attitude of you get what you pay for with Expedia; security gates that you cannot get out of without front desk approval; peeling wall paper in theroom, and could the staff please vacuum behind the floor length cucurtain and remove the toothpicks of prior guests from beneath the room furniture?

College Graduation

Pros: convienent for our stay. Had a shuttle service.
Cons: Bar service was very slow both in the morning and for happy hour.
Location: This place is by the airport so there isn't much to do unless you go into Oakland, Emeryville or San Francisco.
We had several family members gather in Oakland for a graduation. Everyone was comfortable and had a great time. No complaints from anyone.

Nice place

I was in and out from the airport. The shuttle picked me up quickly and everyone was so kind when I arrived. It was pretty quiet in hotel although many people were staying because of larger events occurring in town. It was a nice place to rest my head.

My husband and I were very pleased with our stay. The hotel staff were very pleasant, very friendly, and professional,. we were particularly pleased with the front office staff. since the day we first walked in were were greated with a warm welcoming smile. The were professional at all times and ensured that the guest were well taken care of. The "front desk" staff are an excellent asset to the Hotel/company. We will defenitely reccomend this hotel to others. great job everone! keep up the good work. You all deserve a high score.

not happy with the restaurant staffs

the crib for baby was broken´╝îtakes for ages changing another one.restaurant staffs always are not polite.charging us extra parking fee and breakfast fee.very unhappy experence.the worst restaurant i have evet been.
