Pros: Spacious room, grounds for walking and running, good breakfast, excellent pool and jacuzzi.
Cons: Fridge in the room, or at least a call back re request for fridge. Upkeep needed on machines in fitness center.
We stayed on Saturday night. The staff are helpful and attentive, the room, grounds, fitness center are all terrific. The space that used to hold a small refrigerator was empty (no fridge), and noone ever got back to me on my request for a fridge, which we need for medications and beverages. It's a big hotel and Saturday nights are busy. Next time I will remember to ask for a fridge when booking.

Walked in the door and was handed free cookies and apples. Completely satisfied with my stay. Note: you must request to have a fridge in your room.

Nice location

Location was nice but my room was on the first floor near the parking lot so it was too noisy much of the time. The room was very clean and tidy.

El check in fue agil, las galletas de bienvenida estan deliciosas, la calefaccion del cuarto hacia ruido, nos quejamos en recepcion al día siguiente y nos cambiaron de habitacion inmediatamente, se disculparon y nos dieron cortesias para el brunch del Domingo q esta muy bueno.

there for a Toyota Hornblower trip had a great time in the bar area before and after Hornblower event

A refuge from the hustle of East Bay

Pros: View and refuge-like escape from busy Berkeley area.
Cons: Didn't have time to check out bar/restaurant areas.
Location: Convenient and easy to reach from Berkeley and other nearby communities.
Very nice and gracious employees that welcome you.

conference

Pros: Location on Berkeley Marina.
Cons: Food service, conference service
Location: No end of wonderful things to do in Berkeley and San Francisco.
Was there for a conference. The breakfast provided on the first morning was the worst I've ever had: wasnt' set up when it was supposed to be, which delayed the schedule for the rest of the day. Hard boiled eggs, toast with no butter or jam, oatmeal. Second day was better. People were getting lost in the maze of halls. Dinner and lunch in dining room--so salty that I craved water the rest of the time.

Nice setting, conveniently located to visit Cal

Pros: Management was very helpful.
Cons: Common areas/bar & restaurant could use a renovation.
We only spent one night and wish we could have explored the immediate locale a little more. Our room was VERY quiet even though you are forewarned and furnished a pair of earplugs (not needed the night we were there)! The king bed was very comfortable and the room above expectations considering the low rate we received through Expedia. The management and check-in personnel were extremely friendly and helpful - especially when it came to retrieving my iPad which I discovered I had left behind after check-out!

Pros: The view of the marina.
Location: It was very remote--hard to get to do anything because it was so isolated.
This hotel was recommended by a colleague, but overall disappointing. While my room was ok, it was very far from the main lobby and confusing to get to through a series of walkways and turns. When I finally got to my room, the key would not work so I had to go all the way back to the lobby for another one. During this 20 minute trek, I noticed that the hallways were worn and shabby. There was one restaurant onsite, and the service there was terrible. There were only 2 servers for a large dining room full of people. The main waiter was having a meltdown when I entered the dining room--saying to the bartender that he was too busy to deal with "these people". I waited for a good 20 minutes before someone finally came to take my order-and she was from the kitchen staff. The atmosphere that night was all negative--from the staff and the guests who where waiting on service.
