Close to San Francisco without the pricePosted Aug 26, 2013
We stayed here to go to a Giants ball game rather than pay the price for a hotel in San Francisco. It was super easy to take transit and the Muni to get there and back to Oakland - took maybe 20 minutes all in. The front desk dropped us at the station and we phoned for them to pick us up again later that night.Buffet breakfast the next morning was quick and tasty.

Centrally Located between Airport and DowntownPosted Aug 21, 2013
Pros: Very Pleasant staff!
Just a quick evening as I was in for a wedding and had to fly out at 6:45am, but very conveniently located between the OAK airport and downtown. We were time crunched so couldn't utilize the shuttle provided, but a cab to the wedding at Lake Merritt was just $9 for the 4 of us. Staff was very nice and helpful with the logistics of pre-wedding"stuff." I would definitely stay again.

Clean!Posted Aug 14, 2013 on Hotels.com
the most important thing to me is the cleanliness of the room and the hotel and this hotel was very clean! I was very pleasantly surprised. It surpassed the more expensive hotels I normally stay in.

no roll away bed was provided as indicated in booking and would not provide for my family. Very disappointing stay.

Good locationPosted Aug 12, 2013
The Hotel is fine as long as you stay on the bay side, the staff, especially Howie the bar tender were nice, the negative for us was the fact the were no rooms with two queen beds & the pillows were lumps of FOAM

Nice hotel not to much around except the highwayPosted Jul 30, 2013
Pros: they have a business room available with printers and computer stations at no cost.
Cons: the breakfast was good but sometimes crowded and they ran out of somethings
Location: the location overall is good near the bart station that you will gain access using the provided shuttle service.
Staff was very friendly and they try to please us at all times.

Diamond in the RoughPosted Jul 29, 2013
Pros: Location is very quite, serene, and secure despite being in Oakland. Very close to the freeway and very easy to commute into the city.
Cons: The controls in the shower that regulate the hot and cold water are not very precise and the water fluctuates from very hot to luke warm.
Location: Great location right on the water. Very tranquil and serene. Parking is secure and security walks the property all night long.
This was my second stay at the Executive Inn and Suites in Oakland-Alameda. Besides the fact that Expedia did not communicate my reservations to the hotel upon my arrival, the hotel itself is exceptional. The staff was very inviting and accommodating and worked on my behalf to secure my reservation and get me my rooms. The hotels location is very tranquil, located on the river separating Alameda Island from Oakland, and it is literally attached to the freeway which is convenient when you have business in the city. Overall my stay was excellent and I will be back everytime I have to visit San Francisco. Don't forget to say hi to Howie who serves up an amazing steak dinner for $10....Excellent!!!

One of the more comfortable hotels in the areaPosted Jul 23, 2013 on Hotels.com
Our room was very clean and comfortable. The front desk staff, Brittany, was friendly, professional, and provided efficient service. The hotel has a strict policy on parties (not allowed) and so this makes the hotel a better option within the area. We felt safe and it was quiet. The front lobby was impressive with its cleanliness and homey decor. The pool and hot tub on the water front looked inviting, but we did not get the chance to take a dip given our short stay. I would recommend this hotel and I definitely will stay here again in the future.

Where to stay across the BayPosted Jul 23, 2013
Pros: Clean hotel, great entry into lobby and very nice and helpfull staff. I'm in sales so this was important to my kids and family. Great areas to run !
Cons: I have kids and they are ages 9 and 11. They would have liked a few more kids channels like Cartoon Network, Nickelodean or Disney Channel.
Location: We stayed specifically to get into S. F. and back with relative ease. We made the right choice. Drove to S.F. , parked and after 7:00 pm free Pkng.
Overall, very pleasing stay at Executive Inn and Suites. It has excellent proximity to San Francisco via BART or if you want to drive like my family and I, this was the perfect location. It looks deceiving from where it is located but it will be a great choice. Just South of Cal Berkely. Plus the parking was included in the stay that was safe and secure. Only 15-20 minutes from downtown San Francisco ( evening hours ) and light traffic during the weekends. The staff was friendly and accomodating, and it had a very pleasing lobby. Has a warm feel and nice lounge areas throughout to read books including areas next to walkways to the Marina.. They have a surprisingly wonderful breakfast included. Great staff that did a wonderful job keeping the areas clean. My kids loved the waffles !
