Comfortable place with great staffPosted Nov 1, 2013
Pretty good place to stay. The staff is cheerful, ready to help. Interesting cultural mix of guests. Breakfast buffet was good. They had hard boiled eggs, plenty of fruit along with a selection of everything else you would expect. The bathroom was uncommonly tiny.

Nothing special but perfectly adequatePosted Oct 29, 2013
Pros: Staff and location
Cons: Include breakfast in the room deal.
Stayed for 4 nights and was satisfied with everything. Shame BART were on strike which hampered getting into and out of San Fran, but it was nice to return to the slightly calmer Bay area at the end of the day. Good position for shops, cinema and breakfast at Denny's.

Convenient location, looking tiredPosted Oct 26, 2013
Very good East Bay Location --- By car, it is convenient to Berkeley, Oakland and San Francisco. Next to an outdoor mall so shopping and restaurants nearby. Very friendly staff. The DOWNSIDE is that it could use some new furnishings ---- the bed was not very comfortable, the carpets look old, and new furniture, chosen with the room in mind, would make a big difference.

OkPosted Sep 30, 2013
Pros: Decent central location to get to several places.
Cons: Shower heads are too low. Wake up call did not happen.
Hotel is just south of Berkley, and easy drive to San Francisco just across bridge. (traffic dependent of course) Also short drive to Oakland airport.

Short but sweetPosted Sep 24, 2013
Pros: Soft beds, a good size bathroom. Close to stores and restaurants if you need them. Nice people that were very helpful.
Cons: It is so close to a busy street that our room was very noisy from the traffic. Maybe is there was some way to soundproof some of the rooms better that
Location: Oakland, CA close to a Trader Joe's, a nice Restaurant, Star Bucks Coffee and several clothing stores.
We only stayed 1 night but the room was very clean, the beds were combfortable and the shower was good. So many times now days they short change you on the shower facilities. Overall we were very pleased with our stay. The little cafe in the hotel was nice and helped us get on the road again quickly. The people working there were all very nice and helped us with anything that we asked of them.

Stayed for three nights.Posted Aug 27, 2013
Pros: The staff were particularly helpful, we stayed at 7 hotels on this trip (including one UK airport hotel) and the staff here were the most helpful.
Cons: Some reviews we read prior to booking suggested that the hotel needed refurbishment/deep clean but this wasn't really evident from our stay.
Location: See above.
Booked this hotel at the end of a two and half week family holiday to Vegas, Santa Clara, Yosemite and Lake Tahoe with my wife and 14 year old son. Found the rooms to be clean and tidy (we had a room with two queen sized beds) and the staff to be very helpful & friendly. There is a free shuttle opposite the hotel to the local BART station, which is a short journey into the heart of San Francisco. There is also a nice shopping centre within walking distance of this apparently redeveloped district. Prices reflect the out of city centre location and the rooms whilst not recently decorated were perfectly functional, clean & tidy. Plenty of places to eat nearby & within walking distance.

Great place to stay.Posted Aug 27, 2013 on Hotels.com
Stayed here one night. Real nice rooms and friendly staff. The only minor problem is traffic congestion in the area. Guess it comes with being in the Bay Area.
